Maeves Foundations Of Modern Spellcraft 250505
In the dimly lit Supernatural History Classroom of the Spender Arts and Wellness Center, tensions ran high among the students. A confrontation unfolded between Maria and Chiara, with Maria scoffing at Chiara's life choices, implying a derogatory relationship with vampires. The argument escalated, causing distress among the classmates, particularly Lenore, whom Maria accused of fabricating a murder attempt against her. Edith, a figure of authority, dismissed the claim of an attempt on Lenore's life, citing the powerful wards guarding White Oak that prevent such acts of violence. Amidst this, Maeve, overseeing the class, attempted to steer the focus back to the academic study of magic, offering tissues to those upset and proposing a practical workshop as a distraction from the conflict.
The situation further deteriorated when Robin, another student, visibly upset, engaged in a symbolic act of defiance by smearing blood on a painting. Maeve finally declared the class over, directing Maria to leave and offering her assistance to any who had questions. Lenore revealed she had pepper spray, asserting its effectiveness on campus, which prompted a warning from Maeve to desist from escalating the altercation further. As the class concluded, the divisions within the room were palpable, with Maeve and Edith reminding the students of White Oak's role as a neutral sanctuary, hinting at the broader, possibly supernatural consequences of breaching such peace. This ominous note underscored the fragile balance within this community, revealing the personal vendettas and rivalries that simmered beneath the surface of academic pursuit.

In the Supernatural History Classroom of the Spender Arts and Wellness Center at White Oak
The walls here are adorned with faded tapestries depicting ancient, mystical symbols and enigmatic, otherworldly figures, adding an air of intrigue and mystique to the dimly lit, wood-paneled room. The musty scent of aged books and ancient parchment permeates the air, intermingling with the hushed whispers of students.
It is about 70F(21C) degrees.
"That's Marianna for you." Maria says to Lenore. "And it isn't our dorm room, I don't live with you... And, you have no evidence, thus..." She shrugs. "Keep dreaming, little sheep."
"Yes, yes you are. But hey, if you want to be a vampire's little sex slave with little or no thought of your own, who AM I to stop you? Go on, just keep bowing your head down, that's what you are, right? You said so yourself, you barely even noticed." She scoffs at Chiara.
"You're upsetting Lenore. Let's say that's enough slicing and dicing." Maeve gets a packet of tissues out of her bag and hands it to Lucille. "If you want a practical workshop, we can look into that. This class was about the nature and history of magic."
"I actually find it rather hard to believe that Maria tried to kill you on campus." Edith points out to Lenore. "Just like the no sex wards, there are no combat wards across White Oak. I know how potent they are, as they are able to stop me."
Chiara's upper lip twitches a little as she folds her arms over her chest, glaring back at Maria, "You're sick in the head." Sighing, she looks to Maeve for a moment and apologetically frowns, looking pointedly away for a few moments, her eyes settling on Edith.
Chiara glances to Maria, "And, for the record, you don't know the first thing about me. You made up this fantasy in your head from an off-hand comment I made."
Robin finally pulls the knife away from Lucille and tosses it over to Maria's desk, the blade still all bloody.
"The pot calling the kettle black." Maria chuckles at Chiara, looking back to Maeve. "Oh, but I'm trying. They just can't stop aggravating the situation, so be a good authority figure and shut them down as well if you want to keep going with this class, wouldn't you?" She tilts her head at the woman. Without looking she takes the dagger, producing a tissue to wipe the blood from it.
Lenore nods to Edith, "Well Ashe was witness to the attempt. Maria's not actually very good at murdering people, otherwise she would've remembered the ward. She tried to kill Miss Daniels as well and there were a lot more witnesses to that."
Edith says, nodding, "I know of that one and Sister Abigail was informed. And nothing Ashe says is believable."
Robin starts smearing the droplets of blood she gathered all over the painting, making sure to add a splash of rusty red to each symbol. Suddenly she seems to remember something and pulls out her phone to tap on it, a frown gracing her lips and curling them downward as she reads something, looks up and sends a glare over to Chiara.
"A prick is all it was. Not being bled like a stuck pig" Lucille mutters as she dabs up some of the blood from her cut with some tissue.
Chiara frowns back to Robin, keeping her arms folded over her chest and her lips sealed.
"You're not trying, and all of this bickering comes from you. It's not anyone else's fault that you're ugly on the inside, Maria." Maeve speaks plainly to Maria, keeping her arms crossed under her chest. "Class is over, and I think you should leave. If anybody else has any more questions, I'll be happy to answer, and Doctor Edith can help as well."
Lenore nods to the Edith with a light smirk as she pulls some pepper spray from her purse, "Pepper spray works on campus though," she says before glaring at Maria.

"Put that away, sweetie. That's not helping." Maeve glances pointedly at Lenore.
Chiara sighs out through her nose, glancing to Maeve, "Thank you, Miss Gloamhurst... sorry if I got a little animated there..."
Maria glares at Lenore, grinning. "Come on, then. Spray me. I know you want to."
Edith says "As do tasers and tranqs, neutralizers and naturalizers. They aught not be, however."
Robin looks a little hurt as she puts the phone away and turns her attention back to the sheet of paper, focused on her drawing with singular mind amidst the chorus of bickering voices around her.
Edith says "White Oak is meant to be a sanctuary. Neutral ground, as it were, and to breach that goes against the understanding and will ultimately call Venice down. Which will bring beings more ancient and far stronger than even our own resident archangel."
"What's your name again?" Maeve looks to Lucille and steps around the desks to stand before her. "It's a little hard to keep up with all these new faces, but I'm Maeve."
Chiara watches Edith with raised brows and slight interest, nodding slowly to her.
