Ashs Odd Encounter Sr Sam 241128
In an eventful afternoon in a luxurious penthouse amidst the comfort of a spacious living room, Ash and Seth find themselves engrossed in a conversation about the intricacies of shapeshifting and magic, unknowing of the odd encounter that awaits them. The tranquility of their discussion is momentarily interrupted by the deliberate arrival of Ceryn outside, his attention divided between the safety of his bike and the mischief of his mossy-furred fox, Kesp. As the trio converges onto the terrace, they are greeted by the serene beauty of their surroundings, a stark contrast to the modernity within. However, their admiration is short-lived, as their attention shifts to a peculiarly colored sparrow with a crooked wing, hinting at the supernatural amiss. Despite Ash’s initial impulse to confront the situation head-on, they reconsider given Seth's presence, resolving to approach the matter with caution and taking a more conventional route via van.
Their journey leads them to Badwater Park, where the serene juxtaposition of nature and urbanism becomes the backdrop for a surreal collision of worlds. Greeted by the hustle of a film crew reenacting a scene from Rocky, the trio, now including Ceryn, finds themselves amidst a chaotic melding of reality and fiction. The park, alive with the commotion of filming, becomes the unlikely stage for their unusual mission. As the crew remains engrossed in their task, oblivious to the impending disaster, the blue sparrow, a creature out of the ordinary, hurtles towards an unsuspecting actor, unknowingly catalyzing the climax of Ash, Seth, and Ceryn’s odd encounter. This moment encapsulates the essence of their day; a string of events as unpredictable as the magic they discuss, leading to a resolution that intertwines their fates with the mundane and the supernatural in an unexpected act of serendipity.

In a spacious living room with ample furnishings
Comfortably carpeted with lush, ultra-soft wool-nylon blend, this rather spacious living room features a rather open floor plan, leading off in various directions to other parts of the house. A robust marble fireplace sits within the southern wall, artfully carved, and an enormous television sits just above it atop the mantle, connected to a series of gaming consoles. Sitting more centrally within the open floor plan, an expansive sectional lounge sprawls widely around a similarly large coffee table, easily capable of seating ten with room for comfort.
It is afternoon, about 53F(11C) degrees, and there are a few dark grey stormclouds in the sky.
(Someone in Haven has found out about the supernatural and is freaking out about it. They're at risk of exposing the secret, hurting themselves, or hurting others. Your target and their allies are tasked with containing the situation.

As Ash explains to Seth the possibilities of shapeshifting in the different forms of magic, they beckon him outside onto the terrace. There's a pool there, with seating and a view of both Elm's Bane and the northern forest. They can even see the Serene Grove tree-house from there, as well as anyone walking by the apartment building. From the third floor, the penthouse view is exceptional, as well as surrounded by nature despite the modern environment within.
Humming lightly, Ceryn had been idly waiting for the pair outside his home. Left leant up against a tree, he flicks through his phone, eyes darting over to his bike as he gets slightly antsy about it all. His eyes dart over to the undergrowth near the grove, eyeing a sly, mossy-furred fox, "Kesp, you know what I said about wandering around outside." He huffs, hoisting the thing up into the air.
Seth chats idly with Ash about shapeshifting and magic, glancing from his phone screen to them as he talks. He pushes up from the lounge when they beckon and begin to make their way out onto the terrace, following them along close behind, hugging his jacket a little tighter around his body as they leave the warmth of the house and are exposed to the cool air of the evening. "Beautiful view..." he remarks when he looks out over the world below, "Another reason, I expect, why this place cost so much."
It is a quiet late afternoon in the rooftop pool of the Elm Street apartment. The late-afternoon sun bounces off of the pool's water, creating small flickers and plays of the light.
In what is perhaps a stroke of cosmic irony, a bright blue sparrow flits by, clearly a creature shape-shifted to be such.
Likewise, Ceryn might be able to see this bird flit by, un-natural as it's coat of feathers is, possibly catching the eye.
What's more worrying for both Seth, Ash, and Ceryn perhaps, is its left wing: It's crooked, like it's broken! The poor bird is faltering, starting to lower in its flight towards Badwater Park, where it disappears from view both for the pair on the rooftop, and for the lone figure near his tree-house, with his vulpine companion.
Ash nods to Seth, drawling, "Yeah, probably! It's a penthouse, after all... it's an ideal-" They cut off there, eyes catching the bird. Now, they aren't an expert in birds, not a bird watcher by any means... but they know what sparrows look like (vaguely). "...don't bluejays have a crest," they ask distractedly, before moving to jump off of the three story roof. That is, until they remember Seth.
With an embarrassed expression, they suggest to Seth, "We should take the van, methinks." Heading back inside, Ash almost trips on a racing tabby kitten with the zoomies. "Behave, Leeroy! Don't cause problems for Hobbes, alright?" They shake their head before leading Seth, if he accepts, down to their fancy van, driving to the park with their roommate with them

Seth's attention is caught by the falling bird as well, and a grimace crosses his features as he recognizes where it falls. He takes a step back as Ash makes to jump, opening his mouth to say something, before they seem to remember him and change their minds. He grins apologetically at them, before reaching up to rub at the back of his neck and saying, "Uh... We should be careful. I have a friend- well it's not important, point is, I heard there's going to be some kinda filming happening in badwater park today. Might not be easy to be, uh, subtle, you know?"
With that Seth follows Ash back inside, lingering for a moment as they talk to their kitten, before continuing on down towards the van, tucking his phone away into his jacket and hopping inside.
Both Ash and Seth, and Ceryn make their way to the park in their own time.
"Lights! Camera! Action!"
A voice shouts out, as the trio, perhaps conveniently so, convene at the park, roughly at the same time. Inside, just as Seth had warned, a full filming crew is working on what seems to be a sort of re-enactment of a scene of the movie Rocky.
Pumping action music plays as a man with a blue ribbon jogs, then stops, dramatically throwing a bottle of water over his head. "Don't you just hate it, when you get all dried out?"
Up above, the bird is on a collision course: Straight towards the man, who, in his acting professionalism, is looking into the camera. "Luckily, there's something better than water!" A dramatic pause.
Bird: hurtling towards the man's head. Film crew: Oblivious. Both of the bird, and the trio, which is now nearby the likely crash-site!
