Brians Odd Encounter Sr Elias 240928
Brian, after finishing his workday in the town of Haven, encounters a distraught teenager on Elm Street who claims he's fleeing from someone—or something. The teen, visibly shaken and sweating, pleads for Brian's help, fearing he is being pursued. Brian, sensing the urgency, quickly ushers the boy into the safety of his apartment complex. The teenager reveals a chilling tale: he was kidnapped by a vampire known as "The Master" and turned into a thrall. Despite his vampire scars and a confused sense of time, he insists he has somehow been released from his vampiric ties, now seeking refuge and a chance at a new life. Brian, familiar with the supernatural underbelly of their seemingly mundane world, listens intently, offering protection and support.
As Brian attempts to contact the boy's parents, a suspicious van parks outside the complex. Moments later, a group of men, oddly dressed in dress shirts and sweater vests, enter the building under the guise of searching for the boy and offering a reward for his return. Brian, maintaining his composure, deflects their inquiries with fabricated complaints about apartment maintenance issues, successfully misleading the group. However, the tension escalates when one of the men aggressively accuses Brian of hiding the boy. The situation defuses when the group, maintaining their missionary façade, decides to leave—though not without casting a shadow of doubt on their true intentions. With the menacing group gone, yet their van lingering ominously outside, Brian discovers the boy's parents were murdered in 2015, confirming the boy's fears and solidifying his plea for help. Brian, determined, silently vows to protect the boy from his pursuers, whatever the cost, acknowledging the deep complexities and dangers of the hidden supernatural world they are entangled in.

On Elm Street
It is afternoon, about 79F(26C) degrees,
(Your target and their allies encounter the former thrall of a vampire who has run away from their previous master. Probably at least slightly mind controlled they're likely confused and struggling with their decision. The characters need to either help them found a new life, or send them back to their owner.
)
Brian just got back from work. Being done with his shift for the day, and not having any homework to catch up on, he was preparing to go back home to make dinner for himself and Crystal. Maybe a bit of bass practice first, until she lets him know what time she'll be home.
The town of Haven slowly has been cooling from a hot summer, the leaves changing, the cool breezes on the wind, it is obvious that autumn is well on is way. The town it self, often having a thin veneer of a normal town, but below its surface, there is often a very dark supernatural world. Lately though, not even that has been true as the world wide Cleansing ritual is put in place, making everything mundane. But this doesn't mean this hidden world is silent. A teenager, roughly sixteen makes his way up the street, looking over his shoulder several times as if he is being followed. He spots Brian, perhaps the first person he has ran into and calls out, "I need help! They are going to get me!" And then he hushes his tone, looking over his shoulder again, "Please help..."
Brian gestures to the kid to follow him into the hallway of the apartment complex. "Come on, over here. Hurry." Once they get through the door into the hallway, he'll lead the boy down the hall towards the office, to get out of light of sight of the front door. "What's going on? Who's following you?" he asks. "Do you need to use my phone to call your parents? Or should we call the police?"
Once Brian invites him over towards the hallway of the apartment, a dark van turns the corner. Not totally uncommon, most of all in this town, the boy follows through the doorway, leaving the outside world outside. It is obvious he is frightened as he keeps looking towards the door, sweat beading down his face as he does, "My parents? They must be worried... Their phone number is....." And the boy goes silent as he realizes something, "I don't know their number. James and Barbara White. They...." He looks around himself, speaking to himself muttering, "How long as it been?" And then he refocuses on Brian, "So... You are not going to believe me. But I was kidnapped by the Master."
"The Master? What Master? If you're in trouble, I believe you. But if you aren't sure how to contact your parents, maybe we should just call the police?" Brian says to the boy. As he's saying this, he uses his phone to Hoogle for James and Barbara White, to see what comes back. "Just hang here with me. It'll be alright."
"No... Not the police. He will know then. They will help him." The boy explains to Brian with a small frown on his face as he looks uncomfortable at the suggestion, "I... the Master... He is a vampire." The boy explains to Brian, not sure if Brian will believe him as he continues to tell his story, "When I was with my friends at the mall." A statement that might stand out since Haven doesn't have a real Mall as it were, "I was grabbed by this guy and he bit me." And he tucks at the collar of his t-shirt, which at the base of his neck, there are scars of puncture wounds, "He drank all my blood and made me a vampire... Or I thought so." And he looks down at his hands, holding them up, "But I am not anymore somehow. Look Mister, I know it sounds crazy... I don't believe it myself. It feels like a bad dream... Like I just did what he wanted... It felt like he lived inside my head, but the voice is gone. His eyes are no longer behind my eyes."
Brian nods. "It doesn't sound as crazy as you might think. Do you remember how long ago this was? What year is it right now?" he asks the teenager. "I'm looking for information about your parents on my phone. We'll get this sorted out. And I hope it doesn't come to that, but if it does... I will protect you." He continues to search on his phone, sparing a glance for the door every few minutes, and listening for any approaching footsteps.
"I mean...." And the boy seems like he can't instantly answer Brian's question before he comes up with the a date, "I think it is what? October... I think? Twenty fifteen. I am supposed to graduate in twenty seventeen." The boy offers as he looks down at his hands once more, his fingers touching together almost like he is relearning the sensation of touch before he looks back up to Brian, "So you know what is going on?"
"I know that vampires are real, along with other things that the general public thinks don't exist. So I don't think you're crazy or making up stories. Let's just see what we can find online about your parents, and see if we can't get a hold of them, okay?" Brian says as he continues to search for information on his smartphone. He gestures to the desk in the office. "If we hear anyone coming, I want you to hide under the desk, until I tell you to come out, okay?"
"I would like to see them again." The boy confirms to Brian, but only if it were that simple. If were not for the cleanse, one might accuse Brian of foresight. The sound of doors closing out front, including a sliding door of a van. It is very likely that same van that they saw earlier. The boy however doesn't seem to hesitate when Brian suggests hiding under the desk, climbing under there right away. Then there is a knock on the door.
Brian stands there, in front of the desk, looking perturbed, as if waiting on someone or something and losing the patience to do so. "Door's open." he says.
And the door opens at Brian's instruction and five men come in. But they might not be anything that was expected, they seem to be dressed in dress shirts, sweater vests, and overall a clean cut looking group. The one in the front asks, holding out a black book, "Have you heard of the Lighthouse?" The so-called Jehovah's witness asks with a large smile cross his face. Whatever the case, they don't immediately seem like they are looking for the boy.
Brian shrugs and shakes his head. "Nah. And I don't work here. I'm waiting for them to come back. I've had a leaky faucet for over a week, and starting this morning, my shower lost water pressure and my toilet isn't flushing right." he says, in his best annoyed voice. "They were supposed to be back by now. I'll be damned if I'm going through the weekend like this." He looks at the man who asked him about the Lighthouse and asks, "You know what I mean? It's not so hard. I pay rent, they fix shit." He gives a frustrated look at his phone again to check the time.
One of the other guys speaks up to Brian, "Have you happened to have seen my son? He is about five foot nine and dark hair. He is a good kid, but he is a little special. He probably tells some wild stories. I know he is around here, could you help me find him?" The other man asks, before the main one speaks up, his tone getting a big gruffer, "There is a reward, I mean he is sick and he needs to get some help. We can help him out for sure."
"I haven't seen any kids around, and I've been here for over an hour now. Maybe check out by the pool? There are quite a few women living here, so there's a lot of bathing-suit action, if you feel me." Brian gives them a leering sleazeball grin. "If he's not there, I don't know what to tell you, sorry." He checks the time on his phone again. "This is horseshit."
One of the guys in the back seems to completely break character as he barks out, "Bullshit, we saw him with you coming into this building." He grumbles as he steps forward, cracking his knuckles as he approaches Brian. Before he reaches Brian however, the lead guy holds up a hand and offers to the more violent one, "Oh, we are missionaries, not thugs Brother Joseph." He says with a grin creeping across his face before looking back to Brian, "Forgive him. He is new on this path and this trip is to help him grow in Jehovah's light." And with that, the lead man turns, gesturing for the others to leave, "You have a blessed day." And the men start heading outside, closing the door behind him.
Brian opens the door as quietly as he can, and checks to see if the men are leaving. Once they're gone, he tells the boy to stay where he is for now, and goes back to trying to find any information about the boy's family, keeping his pretense up for now, in case they come back.
And that is just the thing, they don't seem to be leaving. That black non-descript van sits outside, most likely waiting for the boy. The boy of course, follows instructions and remains hiding. When Brian searches the web, there is a news article that comes up from 2015. It is a brutal murder that resulted in the deaths of James and Barbara White. It talks about how they died in an attempted robbery of their home. It also shows a picture of the boy hiding under the desk and says that Mark White has been missing and presumed dead. And in many ways, the article was right. Vampires are not among the living in many ways that count, however the cleanse has made Mark human once more... At least for now.
The boy's head peeks up from the desk. There is no tears, no sorrow, only fear. It is likely over the years, the boy has seen horrible things and perhaps on some level knew his parents were dead or worse. He nods and replies with, "Yes, I never want to go back there again. I will do anything. Please help me mister."
As Brian attempts to contact the boy's parents, a suspicious van parks outside the complex. Moments later, a group of men, oddly dressed in dress shirts and sweater vests, enter the building under the guise of searching for the boy and offering a reward for his return.
