Finns Odd Encounter Sr Lenny 250107
In the dimly lit ambiance of The Most Dangerous game lodge, Finn and Sae-byeok find themselves entwined in a peculiar situation before the crack of dawn. The two are almost alone, save for their conversation and the occasional visitor. As they delve into a discussion about the sanctuary-like aspect of their current environment and the dangerous people it attracts, a woman hurriedly makes her way through, barely acknowledging them. Sae-byeok, with her keen senses, warns Finn about the dangers lurking, signaling the beginning of their odd encounter. Amid their dialogue on supernatural elements and personal precautions like sunglasses and bone charms, the sudden appearance of two men claiming to be officers quickly escalates the tension. Their questionable demeanor and urgency to find a woman suspected of murder throw Finn and Sae-byeok into a cautious stance, debating the legitimacy of the officers' intentions and the true danger the woman poses.
The confrontation soon becomes physical, as the so-called officers press harder for information, revealing themselves to be enforcers for the Temple, hunting a vampire responsible for a human's death. Despite Finn's defensive posture and Sae-byeok's wary cooperation, the encounter sours, culminating in a brief scuffle that tests Finn's resolve and combat readiness. In the heat of the moment, Finn's suspicion and Sae-byeok's insights lead them to question the true nature of justice in this scenario, ultimately deciding to keep their knowledge to themselves. The officers, frustrated and under pressure from their commander, Lenny, decide to withdraw, leaving Finn and Sae-byeok with a veiled threat and the heavy implication of their choices' consequences. The encounter leaves the duo pondering the complexities of right and wrong in a world where the lines are blurred by supernatural and moral ambiguity.

In a wood lodge-themed grand entrance in The Most Dangerous Game
The doorway is framed by dark, heavy wooden beams that give the impression of entering a grand hunting lodge. The floor is made of rough-hewn stone, with a path leading to the main dining areas, subtly lit by flickering wall sconces designed to resemble vintage torches. The walls are adorned with rich, dark wood paneling, interspersed with large, vintage maps showcasing exotic locales and hunting expeditions. To the left, an elegant, intricately carved wooden reception desk stands, where guests are greeted by staff in themed ranger uniforms. Behind the desk, a large mural depicts a dramatic hunting scene: a brunette man is captured mid-fall by the artist, eyes wide with fear as he tumbles into a Burmese tiger trap. The look of horror and desperation on his face is matched by his singular outstretched arm, fingers reaching towards a nearby vine- but not close enough to grasp it in time. The air is filled with the subtle scent of leather and wood smoke, enhancing the lodge-like feel. Overhead, exposed wooden beams stretch across the ceiling, adding to the rustic, adventurous ambiance.

It is before dawn, about 20F(-6C) degrees, and the sky is covered by dark grey stormclouds. It's snowing outside. Ankle high mist flows through the area. There is a waxing crescent moon.

Sae-byeok dismisses herself from the table with a clack of the chair to the floor, and makes her way out of the seating area to follow Finn.
It's the crack of dawn in Haven and the nightlife for the most part tapered off and went quiet around two in the morning. The Most Dangerous game is a ghost town at a time like this, There is Finn, the odd regular in the bar area drinking his life away and thats about it. It's not likely the time to meet new people. Fortunately both Finn and Sae-byeok are here together.
"Conversation about being eaten not fun for you?" Sae-byeok guesses.
Finn nods to Kim as she arrives. He'd taken a moment away from the table to get some fresh air and answer some text messages. "Quite the bunch, huh?" He murmurs to Kim before smirking at the girl "It is what it is. I'm not running." He tells her
"Mmm." Sae-byeok blinks, abruptly distracted. She shakes out of the brief stupor. "I mean, it is not as dangerous as they want to be."
Sae-byeok says "Sanctuary like.. Like it is not going to let them kill you. They all on pink psychy high of fear and pain, and so they learning to talk one way."
Finn nods slowly "I assume there's going to be some kind of, like, energy transferral" He tells Sae-byeok with a analytical look "Kind of like that choking thing, right?"
Sae-byeok says "Don't drink her blood."
Sae-byeok says "If she offer. 'Vee' is bad drug I am told."
Most of the time, one wouldn't notice someone entering the establishment and storming off in a hurry. A woman clad in a trench coat with a skittish nature glances around the establishment as if seeking escape routes then she moves off towards the VIP. Skirting the arrangement of tables with Sae-byeok and Finn there. Treating them like they are not even there as she tries to get where she is going. The pair just pick up their own conversation about biting and torture and how sanctuary works.
Finn looks confused "I wasn't ... Planning to ..." He tells her before just nodding "I'll make sure not to though, thanks for the warning"
Sae-byeok fiddles in her pockets, frowning. "Get sunglasses too. First lesson."
"Mine at home." Sae-byeok dismisses with a huffing cross to her arms, eyeing the woman with ungentle neutrality as she rabbits through the building.
Finn double takes over his shoulder and looks back to Sae-byeok "Strange lady ..." He comments, glancing over in the direction she'd ran off in before wincing as he remembers, yet again, he's forgotten to get sunglasses "I really do keep forgetting that, don't I?" He asks Sae-byeok with a sigh before nodding in the direction of the woman "Can you spot anything weird about her with your ... Dream stuff?"
Sae-byeok's sideglare and upturned brow look askance, but she answers, "No. I can only read like.. Like Pops of fear sometimes. Mind Reading beyond me."
Finn says "Can't you like ... See people's 'auras', or something?"
Sae-byeok receives more sensory input than she yet knows what to do with.
"...Leave bone charm at home. You have yours? The one I give your for Nightmare?" Sae-byeok taps her throat, then her wrist, shrugging.
Sae-byeok wrinkles her nose. "Smell like Lily's breath."
It's not very long, perhaps a minute at most before two men in suits come in, one a burly bald big guy and another a bean-pole with shoulder length hair. They look around, triyng to scan the barren place. Looking for something or someone. Since there isn't anyone here except for Finn and someone they get their attention first. The burly man hangs back a bit but the beanpole comes close and says, "Good morning. Sorry to intrude but its urgent."
Finn pulls the bone charm out of his duffel and holds it up "Got it here."
It's not very long, perhaps a minute at most before two men in suits come in, one a burly bald big guy and another a bean-pole with shoulder length hair. They look around, triyng to scan the barren place. Looking for something or someone. Since there isn't anyone here except for Finn and Sae-byeok they get their attention first. The burly man hangs back a bit but the beanpole comes close and says, "Good morning. Sorry to intrude but its urgent."
Finn glances over at the men with a raised eyebrow, taking the charm and quickly tucking it away as he turns to face the men "Big fucker you are" He remarks to the larger man with a cackle before he fixes him with a friendly smile "What do you need help with bossman?"
"Kim Sae-byeok." Sae-byeok greets, setting her hands in her pockets and taking the amiable psuedo-welcome gang stance of the streets. "Not my home. What?"
Reaching into his inner jacket pocket the beanpole of a man takes out what looks like a badge, flashes the pair faster than they could possibly see it then tucks it away. "I'm Officer Jacobs and my friend here is Officer Greg. We're looking for someone who came in here a moment ago. A woman. We'd like to ask her some questions."
The beanpole of a man has a sleasy way about him as he talks, he's diplomatic but almost too diplomatic while the bruiser behind him is silent and even smirks at the notion of 'talking'.
Finn would attempt to see if the badge was actually legit during that split second flash
Finn wait, it said it was faster than we could possibly see so nevermind
Sae-byeok hums to the tune of ghetto consciousness, "Ehhh.. I see a lot of people out here. I have reason to think you are SPECIAL or something?"
Finn squints his eyes as the badge is almost purposefully shown too quick for them to be able to see much "Oh yea, right?" He says as he processes their request, folding his large hands over his chest as he looks between the two "Tell me something about this lady then, what're you two after her for?" He asks them in his thick accent before shooting a look to Sae-byeok
"Listen there was a murder and if you tell me where this woman is to ask her some questions. You'll be serving justice." The beanpole man reasons to the pair. He doesn't talk in a way that any agent would. They wouldn't just come out and say that would they? This isn't the movies. Still the beanpole of a man looks between the pair, giving a slick smile. "Did you see what way she went?"
Finn shakes his head "Nah mate." He tells the two of them "Never seen 'er in my life." He seems to have come to the conclusion that there was too much fishy about this for him to want to give these guys any kind of help.
Finn seems to lean further into the Manchester side of his accent whenever he's talking to people he's not comfortable with ...
Sae-byeok catches at Finn's eye then glances to the police officer.
Sae-byeok looks at beanpole police officer, suddenly furrowing with concern. "You oh-kay there, dwaeji? Seem like long night."
Something in the air shifts. It's a tension that settles in when Finn decides not to co-operate. The beanpole of a man loses his smile and even takes a half step back as if hit with something to change his entire demeanor. He's quiet for the first time since stepping in. The burly man however doesn't change his tough expression, instead he moves closer to the table, around to Finn's side to stand intimidatingly behind him. "You going to let a murder get away?" the man says gruffly.""
Sae-byeok says "Tch. "
Sae-byeok innocuously begins to take of her scarf to hang on her elbow, plucking at her sweater collar in the 20' F cold.
With a clear of his throat the beanpole of a man regains his composure. Puts on his used-carsman smile and says, "Look, we got off on the wrong foot here. You clearly know how things are. We are not with any department. We are with the Temple and this person we are after is a vampire. She killed an innocent human." this almost sounds earnest, but coming from the man could still be a con. "Now our cards are on the table. You going to tell us where she is before she hurts someone else?"
wasn't such a small man himself, and whilst he knew size didn't really equate to toughness here like it did in the rest of the world, he hadn't quite caught onto the fact that picking fights in Haven was a bad idea yet. He turns to face the man as he walks around him, placing a hand on the man's shoulder "You need to relax yourself mate" He tells the man with a grin. If the man was paying attention, he might notice that Finn' feet had subtly shifted position, one further forwards and one further back.
Sae-byeok looks around The Dangerous Game's seating area nervously, tutting her tongue.
Finn looks over at the Beanpole man, looking away from the man in front of him for only a splitsecond. He frowns at the mention of the vampire, if it was true then he probably did want her off the streets. He still wasn't sure if he could trust them, though. "What do you reckon, Kim?" He asks the girl besides him, still looking at the man in front of him "You believe their story?"
"They believe that." Sae-byeok states simply.
That was a mistake to put hands on the burly man. As soon as a touch is made the burly man reaches up with his big paws of a hand to try and take Finn's arm and twist it back. Since Finn has some ability in such grappling, he could try to squirm from the move and prevent himself from getting arm locked right off the bat. Even as this is happening the beanpole of a man says, "Hey hey hey! We are all friends here. Bill back off." he tells the burly man..who he earlier named as Greg.
Sae-byeok looks both ways across the bar, frowning in an amiable fashion, quietly suggests. "You lose time talking to us. You want to know if woman come? Many women come. I not paying attention."
immediately brings his bodyweight down, pulling his arm back as he immediately pummels his other arm for a tricep grip on the man as he brings his shoulder to the man's shoulder. They'd end up locked in a clinch. Hearing the beanpole man try to call things off, Finn does his best to turn the man and give him a rough shove to create some space, waiting to see if their friend Bill was following his friends advise as he stays low, ready to blast into a double leg take down (attempt) if Bill makes any move towards him. "Back the fuck off, I'll fuck you up a gooden" He barks at the man, clearly rustled by the brief scuffle
It's not because Finn that the burly man backs off as the pair are evenly matched in the grapple but when the man is shoved back, he stays back, cause beanpole holds some weight so he must be in charge. So much time has been lost by the pair and it shows when the beanpole of a man speaks exasperated. "Commander Lenny is going to be so pissed off at us, come on Bill lets go check the parking lot." he looks to Finn and Sae-byeok, "If anyone else gets hurt cause of her. It's on you."
The confrontation soon becomes physical, as the so-called officers press harder for information, revealing themselves to be enforcers for the Temple, hunting a vampire responsible for a human's death.
