The tale unfolds in a generous studio space, where Illyana, after meeting with the freed angel Castiel, returns to find herself amidst a brewing storm involving the Sapphire Martyrs and a mystical relic known as the "Purifier's Tear." With the Martyrs planning to utilize the relic to hasten the end of the world, Illyana must navigate through threats and allies alike. Her reunion with Sae-byeok, marked by a mix of aggression and a peculiar camaraderie, quickly transitions into a mission to thwart the Martyrs' plans. The mention of creating an angelic collar, intended to ward off invasive thoughts and desires, points to a deeper layer of their quest, blending personal stakes with the overarching threat.
The narrative progresses as Illyana and Sae-byeok engage in a gritty pursuit to locate a double agent within the Sapphire Martyrs, driven by both a sense of duty and personal debts. Sae-byeok's attempts to leverage connections and Illyana's strategic planning showcase a blend of magical elements and streetwise tactics, hinting at the diverse underworld they navigate. Their objective is clear: to retrieve the Purifier's Tear and prevent the impending catastrophe. Alongside the preparations for confrontation and alliance-building, the details about the hunted double agent, Timothy Bush, and the dark, dangerous alleyways he frequents, set the stage for a confrontation that is as much about fighting external threats as it is about confronting their own demons. Through cooperation and calculated moves, Illyana and Sae-byeok unveil not only the physical journey to counter the Martyrs' plans but also the introspective path they tread in understanding the nature and implications of their fight.

In an entrance and living space of a generous studio space
The living room, which also serves as the entrance to the home, is a bright and inviting space with modern decor. Large skylights flood the room with natural light, highlighting the plush sectional sofa adorned with cozy throw pillows and blankets. A sleek coffee table sits in front of the sofa, perfect for drinks and snacks. A smart TV is mounted on one wall above a stylish console housing a hi-fi system with speakers placed around the room. Warm wooden floors are complemented by soft cream shag rugs, adding to the room's comfort. Near the entrance, a sleek coat and shoe rack provides convenience for guests. Several potted plants bring a touch of nature indoors, enhancing the tranquil ambiance.
It is before dawn, about 5F(-15C) degrees, and there are a few dark grey stormclouds in the sky. There is a waxing crescent moon.
(Your target and their allies intercept a cryptic message from the Sapphire Martyrs indicating that they plan to activate a mystical relic known as the "Purifier's Tear". The relic is rumored to have the power to hasten the end of the world, fitting perfectly into the Martyrs' twisted mission. The group must track down the location of the relic before it's activated, navigating a web of Martyr cells in Haven that are protecting it. Along the way, they encounter desperate Martyrs ready to die for their cause, forcing the party to question the nature of their own sacrifices and what they're truly fighting for.)
Having just finished up a meeting in the Succubus club at fourteen devilwood drive with the freed angel Castiel, Illyana returned home to recover; Though not outwardly obvious, she was weakened somewhat by proximity, as one might expect, so by this point, Illyana is sitting at home on the sofa, and texting friends who were worried at a lack of contact. Not that Illyana is all too bothered by that; Illyana is a monster.
Sae-byeok repetitively knocks on a door downstairs.
Moving to let Sae-byeok in, Illyana slaps her by way of greeting before letting her in. "New keys." is the observation, though as the two enter and the door to first the outside-- Then the studio is closed, she sits back on the sofa, texting once more. "I wanted to try a collar to turn off the bombarding thoughts and wants." she explains, likely continuing a conversation that caused Sae-byeok's knocking on the door with such veracity.
Sae-byeok follows on Illyana's heels, starting to speak at the inopportune time of just after Illyana starts.
Crosses her arms contemplatively. "What collar? Collars are bad. Make you look like dog and you are clearly not a dog-like person."
Sae-byeok correctively agressivises her contemplative posture.
"I wear this choker." Illyana points out to Sae-byeok. "It empowers me. But also, an angelic collar."
Sae-byeok says "What? Choker is cute. Not a collar."
BRR BRRR - BRR BRR, the phone in Illyana's hand makes, as a new messages does come to pop up onto it. Should Illyana take a glance at it, she would find that it is from the people she associates with, from the Free. Winter has hit truly lately, with temperatures far below zero, heating had certainly become necessary just to not come anywhere close to risking freezing to death, and certainly, many people would likely avoid just going outside so much with temperatures this low, and cars must be going through their own unique punishment.
The message itself is brief, it mentions an artifact of sorts that is asked to be recovered called 'Purifier's Tear'. They have found contact to a double agent inside the Sapphire Martyrs, for no other reason that it is what they wish to have to complete one such collar that is usually in the possession of a Freed Angel. There is the want to make a new one, and the Purifier's Tear, essentially a gem, would complete the collar and permit it to function. Where it would go to or who would come to wear it, is not mentioned, but the contact number to the double agent is noted down, as well that he works for one of the local cells that did hear about another cell that would be transporting the artifact through on a convoy. It is, as of right now, not known when it would pass through or which route it would be taking, the double agent had not mentioned it and would need to be contacted to find out.
Sae-byeok taps her foot in frustration as Illyana continues to look at her phone.
"Mindwarding doesn't work. I told you that, fool." There's no aggression in that. It's observation, though when Illyana's phone begins to buzz, she reads, nods, then turns to Sae-byeok. "If you want to help, help with this." Turning her phone so that Sae-byeok can read what's written on it's opened file page, she tells Sae-byeok, "Looks like we're going to find an informant. Then we're going to beat up an informant. Then we're going to kill one because I do not like the sapphire martyrs. Then, we retrieve the gem and give it to someone I want, because you owe me one thousand five hundred and seventy dollars and are now in my debt." This too is matter-of-fact, and Illyana's mind is clearly made up. She's on top form today, apparently. "So, tell you what, your sticky little friends from Slug Fuck likely know more. Get some feelers out. I'll do my bit, and we'll track this ingrate down." So saying, Illyana begins texting; Using resources from Vengeance of Ubaste and the Free to track the location of the double agent. Illyana will locate them, then she'll get the information she wants. She'll also arrange a team to aid with the retrieval, just in case.
Sae-byeok squints then sits back. "Send it to me."
Illyana does so, sending Sae-byeok the information she received.
Sae-byeok reads through the file with the mind of someone dreamt to be a perfect student.
Funny how often she repeats her mistakes, then. To the lesson the teacher, one supposes.
"Okay. I mean I can make this easier for you. Like, I will just make him want to give information and then, I don't know, his mind want to do that."
Nodding, Illyana tells Sae-byeok, clearly having already planned for that with Sae-byeok's arrival, "Exactly my plan."
Sae-byeok steps aside to make a phone call. "No- Khanh-"
Sae-byeok says "I don't fucking speak Vietnamese, idiot!"
Sae-byeok says "-No- What? No- YOU- I need homeless information. Stop speaking beteunam mal!"
Sae-byeok says "How do you like it, huh? Old alley rat really want to trade words we don't understand, huh?"
Sae-byeok says "Tch- "
Sae-byeok goes through several phone calls of similar tones, speaking from the streets with marginally similar cultural backgrounds that have come to mean nothing to another. And, in the small way of noodles and chopsticks, it also means everything.
Illyana likes noodles.
Sae-byeok says "Okay, I text Tim. Tim go to those meetings."
Sae-byeok sigh, rubbing her temple. "He.. He only speak like every twelve minutes in my head, so... So it take a moment."
Scouts and affiliates from the different groups get to work, it is all the simply form through that special kind of app every group certainly appears to possess to make it quick, easy, and most of all, brief. The kind that does not leave traces but refuses to implement its own chat system to prevent those traces, too. But there is, truly, rarely a point to contemplate such a thing. Illyana's phone eventually gives that desired noise she has set for when a new message pops in, with the information that's needed. It is a man, his name is Timothy Bush, there is no phone number attached. The man is careful, and so, the scouts cannot locate him -yet-. They would need a little bit more time. Sae-byeok on the other hand would find more once the name is shared if Sae-byeok mentions it.
The man seems to persist between some alley-ways. No one really dares to go close, people disappeared from it, something along the line of it being bloody work. There have been organs found to just lie around there, and homeless that had disappeared from the place. It is not frequent, the event is far more rare, but it still, all the same, scares people away from going there. Scares, at least, the homeless away, because everyone else isn't really in the know about it, because people are sometimes going and coming from there. Usually some that look like they would be muscle, trouble, the kind of people that could beat someone up far too much when bothered. And naturally, no one asks questions about the pieces of meat and remains that had been found in passing, though it would be false to consider that no one may have grabbed a slice for... dining purposes.
