Rashids Odd Encounter Sr Emmelline 241225

On a cold afternoon on Guardian Lane, Rashid finds himself in an unexpected and bizarre confrontation. As he walks, trying to reach Haven, a fox suddenly attacks him. This alone might not have been so alarming, except for the fox's unusually aggressive behavior, which quickly escalates as a group of rabbits join the fray, followed by other woodland creatures such as raccoons, feral cats, and dogs. Despite their small size and generally docile nature, these animals are relentless in their assault, driven mad by an unseen magical force. In a desperate attempt to defend himself, Rashid undergoes a painful transformation into a large wolf, hoping his new form will scare off his attackers.

However, the magical frenzy affecting the animals seems to blind them to fear, as they continue their attacks even more vigorously against Rashid now in his wolf form. He responds with a ferocious counterattack, managing to kill many of the smaller animals, but they keep coming in endless waves. Overwhelmed and realizing the futility of his efforts to fight them all, Rashid makes the decision to escape. He barrels through the onslaught, using his powerful wolf form to push past the creatures and head towards the safety of Haven. Remarkably, as he crosses into the town's boundaries, the animals cease their pursuit as if magic no longer compels them. Rashid is left panting, with the faint detection of magic in the air, hinting at the mysterious cause of this wild encounter but offering no clear answers as to who or what instigated it.

[Tue Dec 24 2024]

On Guardian lane
The hard-packed dirt road is wide enough for two cars to passs but just barely. Along each side, the foliage has been left to grow as it will with no attempt to tame it or trim it for appearance. Overhead, the tree branches grow thicker than previous, causing more of the shade during the day and an even deeper darkness at night.

It is afternoon, about 30F(-1C) degrees,

(Your target is attacked by an animal or small group of animals driven mad with magic, it is up to them to escape or fight them off for long enough for their allies to arrive and help deal with the threat.
)
Padding forth, Rashid checks his phone on occassion, tapping at it whilst he travels north, presumably to Haven. Each step brings him closer to his goal, each step closer to civilization. He's even humming a little whilst he's wandering, sniffling the air the entire time.

The noon day sun, weak as it's the dead middle of winter, is high in the sky all the same. Snow crunches beneath Rashid's feet as he walks along the dirt road. The area is quite isolated and remote. Not another soul can be seen. Even any animals that might have been seen during the warmer months, have all hidden away, in the cold winter's day, or so it seems. The man walks along probably as he has done quite often, heading back into town. Nothing seems out of the ordinary at first. Everything quiet, calm except for the light crunch crunch of snow as Rashid walks. Then a fox peers out from the overgrown foliage. Perhaps not holy unnatural, but rather than going back into hiding as the man approaches, it leaps out of the folliage in an effort to attack the man.

There's a little blink, a flutter of Rashid' eyelashes as he's suddenly assailed by the creature that's practically mixed up with dog and cat. As it attacks, Rashid waves his hands in front of himself, growling out in atrocious English, "Shwooo! Shwooo!"

usually, animals when they are confronted by humans, tend to scare or run away. Even if they wee to attack, given it's a rather small red fox, they might scare at Rashid's yelling at it. Not this time however. For some reason, the fox will insist on attempting to attack the man. Then oddly enough, the fox is joined by a family of four or five rabbits. Emerging uncharacteristically from an unseen rabbit hole. Given rabbits are generally docile creatures, who frighten at the drop of a hat, this is odd behavior indeed. The rabbit tried to claw at Rashid. though given they are rabbits quite small, they don't really do any real damage to the man, even when there are about four or five of them in all.

Sadly, at least for the normally skittish animals that are trying to throw it down with Rashid, he's run out of patience. Especially when he's being assaulted by the entirety of the forest squad. "Shwooo! Schwoo" he cries one last time, dodging random attacks. Before he then and suddenly shifts, bones snapping, shrieks of agony, the whole nineyards.

Usually, when animals come in contact with a rather large wolf, they'd run away, scatter. Unfortunately for these poor souls, that is not the case. They continue their frenzied attack upon the now wolf form of Rashid(wolf). Not only that, but other animals come to join the fray, rather than running from the wolf. A couple of raccoons join the fight, followed by a couple feral cats and dogs. Not the domesticated kind, but the kind that live out in forests and the wilds to be perfectly clear.

There's some level of excitement as more, presumably to the wolf, free food arrive. And already, he's snapping his jaws and swiping his clawed paws on to everything. The fox comes first, whom he bites their head. The rabbits? He tries to scoop them up into his mouth. As more and more creatures come, he acts with more and more ferocity, allowing that devilish lack of control spiral a form of rage and anger out into existence. Rashid(wolf) continues to snap his jaws around anything that moves... and maybe that might be enough

Rashid(wolf)'s frenzied attack does have an effect. For him being a full on wolf, is able to kill all the smaller animals rather effectively. Unfortunately for the wolf however, the animals keep coming. All kinds and varieties. They keep coming out of the folliage around the dirt road, and perhaps even from elsewhere nearby. And all of them seem intent on attacking the wolf. Regardless of the peril it may cause to their own lives.

The way this is going, it might end up becoming a gorey mess in the woods. Especially since Rashid(wolf) isn't in the right frame of mind, joyfully snapping his jaws around any creatures whom attack him, shaking them, then swallowing them whole. There's probably a point where the wolf does become full. But whenever that point is reached, it seems he ends up becoming busy, depopulating this area of the forest. When it becomes quite clear Rashid(wolf) will get overwhelmed, he bolts, barrelling through whatever creatures lay between him and the rest of towm, batting all the smaller beings away with his massive paws.

Rashid does succeed in barreling through, given his massive paws, and his full wolf form. Though even as he does so, more animals appear. All of them chasing after the wolf, intent on attacking him. some even get close, nipping at the wolf's tail, attempting to stop him in his tracks.

Still, Rashid(wolf) bolts forward, ignoring the nips at his tail. He mostly ignores it all, making his goal more clear, to get into Haven. There's not much else he seems to be doing as of the moment, fleeing the practical army of woodland creatures that keep coming up to, presumably, kill him. Lolling his tongue out, he pants a bit, as he runs, sniffling that large nose of his to figure out what he smells.

As Rashid(wolf) makes it into the haven boundaries, the animals stop chasing him immediately. it is almost as if some sort of switch had been flipped, and they run away as fast as they can from the wolf. As the wolf sniffs, he might detect the hint of magic, that could hint at the weird behavior of the animals', but from who or what caused such a frenzy remains a mystery.
