Ritsukas Odd Encounter Sr Isaiah 241019

In an intimate moment of relaxation within the serene confines of a hot spring bath, Ritsuka and her boyfriend find themselves enveloped in the comforting embrace of warm waters and steam. Their conversation, a gentle ebb and flow of shared stories and recent events, culminates in a tender embrace, underscoring the depth of their connection. However, this tranquil scene serves as the prelude to an unexpected journey for Ritsuka, as she drifts into a dreamlike state, transported beyond the confines of the steamy bath into a realm of mystique and shadows. Here, she encounters Linda Bloodshadow, a stoic, blonde-haired woman clad in the attire of stealth, representing the mercenary group known as the Golden Shadow. Linda's presence and offer to Ritsuka, to join the ranks of this shadowy organization, mark the beginning of a new chapter, one filled with potential and the unknown.

As the dream unfolds, Ritsuka finds herself in negotiation with Linda, keenly aware of her vulnerability in this dream-scape, yet undeterred, she adorns herself in a traditional kimono, woven from the fabric of dreams. Linda, unimpressed by appearances, cuts straight to the chase, offering Ritsuka a position within the Golden Shadow that leverages her medical expertise. As the conversation deepens, the offers laid out by Linda promise not only protection and resources but also challenge Ritsuka's ethical boundaries and her loyalty. Despite her reservations, Ritsuka signs the contract, cautiously stepping into a world where allegiances are as fluid as the mist that once surrounded her in the onsen. The dream concludes with Linda's cryptic parting words, leaving Ritsuka to awaken back in the hot spring, the weight of her decision lingering in the air, as tangible as the steam that fades away, leaving behind the reality of her new connection to the Golden Shadow and the uncertain path it foretells.

In A Hot Spring Bath
The gentle sound of water trickling into a stone basin welcomes as the rooms warmth envelops the senses. This private bath, or onsen, appears to be quite tranquil. Smooth stone tiles line the floor, warmed by the heat of the spring water that fills the central pool. Steam rises softly, creating a mist that dances in the lantern light and casts gentle reflections on the walls. The pool itself is a natural formation, with rounded stones encircling its edges.

In the corner, a small wooden bucket and ladle rest by a low bench. The faint smell of cedarwood mingles with the scent of fresh, mineral-rich water. Above the spring, a simple wooden torii gate is mounted.

It is noon, about 47F(8C) degrees, and there are a few grey clouds in the sky.

(An influential member of The Golden Shadow has taken a personal interest in your target. Seeing potential value, they've made an offer to your target: join their ranks and enjoy the protection and resources they offer. Your target must decide how to respond to this offer, and deal with any potential consequences of their decision. Will they join the group and abandon their previous allegiances, reject the offer and potentially make a powerful enemy, or find a way to play both sides for their own benefit?)
Ritsuka is currently at her Shrine home. There are two shrines outside the door, and she is just bathing with someone while talking about the odds and ends about recent events, here at this very isolated hot spring. That does mean they were naked, as the other person is her boyfriend and she is happily chatting about all that has happened lately. The interaction is here and there, and the last they do is cuddle up close to another.

In a steam-filled room just outside of Haven town limits, a dating couple relax and lounge in their hot spring bath, steam filling the room to the brim in a fog that would be oppressive it had not been readily welcomed by them. The morning is cold, crisp, but slowly warming now that the sun is high in the sky at noon. It peeks through various spaces and shines down on the pair, adding dazzling splotches of warmth and warm energy to their bare flesh. Peaceful, quiet. The conversation mulls in the privacy of the space, and towards the end of it all, the duo embrace one another with adoration in their minds. It's a beautiful, if cold, day, and the comfort seems to make Ritsuka sleepy.

Exhaustion creeps in at the corners of her mind, bidding her to rest, and in the safety of her own home, in the relaxation of this Japanese styled space, closing her eyes only feels more and more tempting by the second. Eventually she will, indeed, sleep, a single blink that lasted a bit too long causing her to go slack in her lover's arms, who holds her upright and passionate through her resting. In the interim, Ritsuka finds herself in a Dreaming state, silvery gray mist swirling about her feet not unlike the fog of the onsen. It is a touch thinner and wispier, but not ominous in any ways. A customized world that someone has created; that is the existence here. Something mysterious and shadowy- a meeting place, it seems, for someone else is here with Ritsuka. They are a tall, blonde-haired woman with the tresses pulled back in a low, lazy ponytail. They wear all black combat attire, though more built for stealth than actual battle, as though their primary job were reconnaissance rather than war. Get in, do something, get out. She watches with pale blue eyes from the other side of the Dream, then crosses faintly-tanned arms under her chest in judgment.

Ritsuka blushes a little furiously, considering the state of dress she for her own is in, but this is a dream, and she certainly tries to plug by some attire for herself. A kimono, and shape herself to be just a little different: With a single fox tail and the corresponding ears. But that is only so long before she does bow to the other party "Konichiwa, madam." It is a light, respectful bow. "It looks like I might have fallen asleep. Am I allowed to be here?" She asks, trying to offer a softer smile to the blonde woman.

The woman is stoic as she watches Ritsuka shape her form in the dream, unimpressed, but not speaking on such; it is clear her personality is something constantly cold and calculating. She is a professional, through and through, and the nudity does not bother her anywhere near as much as the animal pieces do. Her nose crinkles, her brows furrow, but she pushes all of that aside in favor of pulling a few papers from a side satchel, crisp, white, neat, pinned with a paper clip rather than staples. "You are allowed to be here because I brought you here," the blonde explains coldly, her voice like ice, sharp and precise. "I am with a mercenary group known as the Golden Shadow. Recently we have been scouting for prospective members an beneficial contracts."

She starts to take slow steps towards Ritsuka with those papers in hand, her boots clunking onto the immaterial floor with every step. It is an odd sensation, to say the least, having no ground beneath one's feet and yet being able to stand upright without falling. "I am Linda Bloodshadow, I'm second in command to our Haven chapter, and I am here to offer you an employment opportunity."

"Hee(Jap:I see), then can you tell me more about the Golden Shadow, Bloodshadow-san?" Ritsuka asks, her ocean blue eyes drop towards the papers the other is holding. "You caught me a little bit at an inappropriate time but it is not trouble at all." She purses her lips and briefly glances to Linda. "What has you decide to offer employment to me and would it cause trouble with my managing BioLabs and handling research and development in its laboratory?" Yes, she is young, some would say too young to actually manage a pharmacy, let alone be the head in a laboratory. "I have only heard a little bit about the Golden Shadow from my contact in the Hanshin Group. Haranobu is my Senpair with the group, a lot of Japanese corporations give us new to the corporation people that are very young a Senpai to try to work us into the work culture."

"As I said, we're a mercenary group," says Linda as she passes over the papers for Ritsuka to look over: a contract, mostly implying that The Golden Shadow will not interfere or harm the Japanese femme's ties to the Order when she is sent on missions or given work by them of any type. This seems to continue in the statement that, rather than being an assassin or meathead of any kind, the Golden Shadow wants Ritsuka on their medical team, tending to the wounded and occasionally administering elixirs, poultices, and inhalants on targets and enemies in order to extract information, alter memories, or add in new ones.

"Rather than flee or fear or prevent the end of the world, we profit from it," she explains as a table and two opposing chairs forms from the lingering mist- she sits down in one, and beckons for Ritsuka to sit down in the other. "We fight, we negotiate, and we sell our souls to the highest bidder. Your job will mostly be a stay-at-home sort of thing," Linda claims, still with her arms crossed over her chest.

Ritsuka does take the seat on the other side of the table, and she does look the contract over closely, particularly if there is something that would be morally concerning or disadvantageous. She does make a nod, listening to Linda "I am usually very picky about who I would offer my aid to. You would know that I am morally very opposed to the innocent being hurt. But if I am seeing this correctly, you are asking for my medical ability, and this I do not mind to offer." A small pause "After all, the right medicine can also cause to skip torture all-together. Information extraction made easier and with less effort makes everyone happier. I am looking into something that would work against more powerful people, but methods for mundane people are very easy to do."

She looks up from the papers for a moment, at Linda "What benefits would I gain from providing this service to the Golden Shadow? Or is this simple employment without any supporting benefits?" This is plain asked, not with worded expectation, but as one may at a negotiation table.

"Medical and dental with no copay," Linda begins as she leans back in her chair with a stoic expression. "Room and board for away missions, to and including a company card to feed and entertain yourself when you aren't busy on these out of town missions," she goes on to say. "You get protection when you are affiliating with us- two bruisers casual, five in times of distress. You get free reign with medical facilities associated with the Golden Shadow, and we pay for your continuing education in the medical sciences." She also points these facts out in the paperwork that Ritsuka had been handed, flipping through pages and pages of documents. "What we ask in return is loyalty and availability. We call, you come running, we say do this, you do this, we say jump, you ask how high."

On the last part, Ritsuka points out "You are talking to a Japanese, Bloodshadow-san. Company loyalty is standard for Japanese." But she makes to nod "But this sounds fair. Foreigners often use a sort of testing phase for Employment, is this something you will do to make sure someone fits into the company very well? Or is it once signed it is done?"

"You'll be tested," Linda allows, her tone droll as she goes through the motions of pulling an ink pen from her utility belt, popping off the cap, and settling it on the bottom with a subtle *click*. "In the field of self defense at the very least you need to understand how combat works in case you are in such a scenario. We'll teach you the importance of vital gadgets such as pepper spray and tasers, as well as how to use a basic pocket knife and proper training with a firearm or bow of your choice." She slides the pen across the table towards Ritsuka then, blinking slowly, as unbothered as the moment she had entered the Dream with the Japanese woman. "Sign to agree to the six month probationary period where you will mostly be an unpaid intern. We'll outfit you with the necessities and training, and during this time you will heed our beck and call- your work with the Order should come secondary, which should be fine, since they don't do fuck all anyways over there," she chastises the organization, a rare moment of swearing leaving her lips.

Still, the blonde eventually falls into silence, watching Ritsuka like a hawk or falcon made into human flesh with unblinking eyes. "The time will fly by before you know it, and you'll be a full-fledged member in the span of the blink of an eye."

Ritsuka takes the pen and, as one would do, she considers it for a few more seconds before she signs it in neat Kanji that does list her full name. It is not precisely as she would usually sign, the kanji is a little different, but this is really only a safety so her signature is harder to copy. "Very well, Bloodshadow-sama. I will agree to the terms provided and look forward to a mutually beneficial work relationship."

"Good," says Linda Bloodshadow, the emptiness of her eyes matching the stoicism of her motions as she retrieves the paperwork from Ritsuka, looking over each space to be filled out, signed, or otherwise, and nodding. It is replaced in her satchel easily, and slowly she rises to stand. "Pleasure doing business," she says, though she looks like the kind of woman that doesn't really get pleasure from anything anymore. "I'm gonna release you from this dream snare so you can go on about your day with whatever it is you do in your free time," she says evenly, re-capping her pin and settling it back into place on the utility belt about her waist. "We'll reach out to you when we're ready to begin your training. Could be a week, could be a month. Just keep an ear out and get ready."

Ritsuka nods her head again and says a "Hai!" And then she does rise to her feet. "I will keep an ear out. Though in this dream a fox ear. You should give Euphoria a try from BioLabs. It is experimental but it might wake a little bit of life again in your eyes, Blooshadow-sama." She suggests, offering a smaller, casual smile to the other. "It is very effective in treating what you find yourself in, a few hours where you can be more free, but I know it is not burn out you have. Just something I think would brighten your life a little bit again. One has to dream a little bit, even if tomorrow is unavailable."

"No," says Linda crisply as she watches Ritsuka. "I don't do drugs, or medication. I drink alcohol, and I smoke tobacco. I watch the news, I keep my eye on the papers. That's all," she replies, stone cold and lifting a hand in the air, thumb and forefinger extended. "We'll meet again soon," she warns. "Pray that you don't end up as one of my rookies. You'll hate me, but you'll be stronger for it."

Then, with a snap of her fingers, Ritsuka awakens, back in the room with the hot spring, surrounded by clouds of fog rather than wisps of mist, as though the whole thing truly had been little more than a dream. It might take her some time to recover from such a thing, but at the very least, she is safe and sound. And with a new contact in her phone: Bloodshadow.
