Overview
The Redmist Pack was founded by werewolves that are or were part of the Redwood Pack or the New World Order, although membership is open to all wolves or vetted associates that will swear to be loyal to the Pack. Those who betray this vow of loyalty are hunted down by the Pack and brought in to face harsh punishments. In addition to sharing the Redwood goals regarding the protection of werewolves, the Redmists are dedicated to the preservation of Haven's deadly forests. They ruthlessly monitor deforestation around town, bringing down swift retribution on any who attempt unsanctioned clearing or building efforts. Those wanting to build in the forest are expected to get permission from the Pack. The Redmists also believe in werewolf superiority and survival of the fittest. Non-werewolf associates are never considered better than an actual werewolf and are forbidden from advancing in rank in the Pack. While Redmists are free to join other factions, their 'pack-before-all' mentality often sees them at odds with factions dedicated to the subjugation of supernaturals, and to attack one is to call down the might and fury of the entire pack. Because of this, Temple werewolves are not allowed in the Pack and are freely hunted by the Redmists.
Ranks
϶ Pariah Pariah are werewolves that committed some kind of infraction or are being punished by the Pack. They remain loyal to the Pack, they're part of it but they are at the very bottom of the Pack's hierarchy. ϶ Associate Associates are non-werewolves that for one reason or another have agreed to work closely with the Pack. They can be consultants, humans wishing to become werewolves, or strong allies of the Pack that share the Pack ideals. Unless they become a werewolf, they are however barred from advancing in rank. ϶ Pup Pups are werewolves new to the pack. They usually haven't been bonded to a any pack members and are learning what it means to be part of the Pack and figuring out their place in it. They're only just above Pariahs in the hierarchy, and are often hazed and abused to see how much they can actually take and how loyal they can be. ϶ Omega The Omegas are full members of the Pack and are usually assigned the lowliest of duties in it. They often are tasked with overseeing Pups, so at least they can take care of their frustrations that way. Most Pups become Omegas first, although some go straight to Wolves. ϶ Wolf A Wolf is a full member of the Pack and is expected to work for the benefit of it. They are often sent out to patrol the forests around Haven, and protect the interests of the Pack in a manner best suited to their skills. ϶ Delta Deltas are the wolves that have proved time and time again that they're able to lead other wolves. They do not have to be combat wolves, but they usually excel in whatever their area of expertise happens to be. ϶ Warrior Warriors are the physical combatants of the Pack. They are the enforcers, the hunters and the defenders. They are expected to lead other werwolves in combat matters, and are often found leading patrols to enforce the control of the forests around Haven and looking for targets to harvest for resources. ϶ Elder Elders are werewolves that deserve respect due to their prior or current services to the Pack. They serve as advisors to the Alpha and Betas, and if need be in the absence of the Alpha or Betas they're able to act as leadership for the Pack. ϶ Beta The Betas are the werewolves that serve as second in command to the Alpha. In the case of the Alpha dying or something happening to him or her, a new Alpha usually is chosen from the Betas. They're able to make commanding decisions in the absence of the Alpha, regardless of their area of expertise. ϶ Alpha The Alpha is the leader of the Pack. He is the maker of all final decisions and the mediator when there is an issue between two werewolves in the Pack. He is responsible for making sure the Pack thrives, usually by ensuring werewolves are peforming their duties to the Pack as expected.
