Eileen Arkwright was a success. She was a star surgeon, in the top of her class, and her skill with a scalpel was legendary. But after an accident, she had her license pulled and became the talk of the town, slandered and mistrusted by anyone who had a family member who died that once had surgery. If that wasn't the worse part of all this, she has to be the twin of Hayden Arkwright, who everyone seems to love and praise.

The Brand
Eileen's brand is on her ankle. She isn't sure how she got it, but she has it. She thinks nothing of it, most of the time. It never bothers her, it's not particularly ugly yet, while her skin is still more or less okay. Despite it all, she sometimes experiences strange sensations, like being strangled by invisible hands.

 The Fangs
Eileen has never met James Arkwright. But that doesn't explain the scar on her neck, and the reasons she has dreams. Dreams that might start off nice, but end up with a shadow's face and fangs ripping into her neck. Eileen knows vampires exist, she knows James exists, but she's never met one, as far as she knows, and doesn't suffer the same abuse others do.

 The Horror
Eileen has operated while being hungover many times. Successful operations. She was good at her job. But then one fateful night, while trying to save the wife of Anton Inigo, something happened. Her hands locked up. Her talent just went away in a rush, and then she began to butcher the woman, violently. While that's been overlooked, the butchery, the fact she killed a woman hasn't. Now she drowns her sorrows in pills and alcohol.

“Eileen, the day you die and hopefully it's soon, I'm gonna celebrate with Anton. If there is a hell, I hope you burn in it bitch.” – Connor?

“I was just a child when I got carted in with my leg almost ripped off. You probably don't remember me, but I remember you were the surgeon who operated on me and saved me. Then, I hear about what happened to Anton's wife... and it terrifies me. I owe you my thanks, but I'm mildly terrified of you now.” – Kit?

“You spin me right round, baby, right round. Like a record baby, right round, round round.” – Lina?

“If we can stop the drinking before two, and remember to eat, I think the fact that time never brings on changes for us will be just a bit more bearable. Baby steps, right?” – Adriana?

“I wish I could lean on you, mami, but I'm scared we'll both tip.” – Abby?

“You confuse and confound me. Do not mistake the fact I tolerate your semi-constant presence as endorsement of the activity you know I dislike.” – Benny?
