The battle crescendos with a savage fervor as Carter, Alexander, and an armed Harriet make valiant efforts to thwart the cultists' objectives. Arrows whistle through the woods, some finding their marks and damaging ritual sites, others thudding into trees, sticking into armor or parrying off shields. Carter, under a hail of arrows, mutters about the chaos as he traces protective runes in the air. The central forests of Lauriea are set to bear witness to a most ominous undertaking.
