Patrollogs
(A battle in the Nightmare)
[Tue Oct 22 2024]
In the Bedroom of Room 301 at Hotel Antlers
A lone sleigh bed entices visitors to rest, complete with fluffed white
pillows and a soft cream comforter. The petite room boasts simplicity at
it's finest. Caramel curtains cascade over two arched windows, matching a
study desk set to the side which gives renters a convenient workspace. A
single closet provides space for clothes, standing beside a door which leads
into a complete bathroom.
It is about 50F(10C) degrees.
Korina seems pleased by the speed with which Julius emerges from the deep nightmare, perking up just a little bit. "Excellent," comes the claim. "We can finish our business from the other day." She watches the setting of the landmine with only brief interest and amusement mingled, an arrow going 'plink' near Julius's feet. "I am not a wolf, to charge in without a brain."
Chuckling as he steps into the nightmare to join the fray, Nikolai sights Julius and Korina and simply stands back, resting his hammer up over his shoulder. "I will watch," he says, not bothering to deal with it. "You should have come to me for that weapon."
"There is no amount of weapons that would help," Korina tells Nikolai, sounding maybe a little pouty. "Especially not when he is already weakened." Another arrow is drawn and set free, whizzing through the air towards Julius.
Shrugging his shoulders, Nikolai says, "I know. But he would feel better about going down, da?"
Julius can't seem to attack or go anywhere and so he makes an irritated noise behind his gas mask that's between a grunt and a sigh. "I can tell this wont be my day."
Korina can help with that. Just to irritate Julius further, she reaches out with her mind, holding the man very still and even more unable to attack or go anywhere.
And then Korina follows it up with another arrow, this time hitting Julius right in the heart - or she would have if his vest wasn't in the way.
"Have a good day." Julius says to the pair as he fires off an errant arrow than does manage to graze Korina belatedly.
Korina is distracted by Euphemia's approach, blinking at her as she dispatches of Julius with another effortless arrow. "Huh," she claims. "I thought there was just one. Do you want to deal with that one?" comes the question for Nikolai, but she's all too willing to handle it herself too.
Julius fades out of the nightmare.
Julius rubs his face tiredly a he finds himself awake on the bed of the room. He looks about and locks eyes with the heavily bandaged girl
"Hm," Nikolai says, watching the woman disappear. "That was... not expected."
Korina is confused. She blinks, poking at thin air, and stares around. "... what."
Nikolai rubs his chin.
