In The Forest
The path leading to the abandoned construction site of the Virgin's Ecstasy Club winds its way through an overgrown thicket, its once-smooth pavement concealed beneath a blanket of encroaching vegetation. Nature's persistent reclamation is evident, with vibrant wildflowers and tall grasses swaying gently in the breeze. Colorful graffiti, defiant marks of rebellion, adorn the remaining structures, infusing a haunting beauty into the surroundings. The atmosphere is thick with the scent of must and nostalgia, reminiscent of the dreams and aspirations that once filled this place. Drawing nearer, the skeletal frame of the unfinished nightclub emerges, frozen in time, its crumbling walls serving as a poignant reminder of abandoned potential and faded grandeur.
It is night, about 58F(14C) degrees, Ankle high mist flows through the area. There is a waxing gibbous moon.
Everly is shattered. Heartbroken. Gutted. But she stays behind like a good little croney.
No she doesn't. Everly /can/ follow, and look who it is: Korina's favorite punching bag. She gives Ari a once-over.
"Ah, good," Nikolai says, nodding as Everly manages to keep pace. "Alright. Worth testing. We will see big game shortly; it will have valuable parts." His attention falls briefly on Ari, but he mostly disregards her. Doesn't seem he expects great contributions from the lone woman, here.""
Ari slides her blue-eyed glance over towards Korina and Nikolai and the corners of her mouth turn down in what seems like either disappointment, or maybe something grossed-out. Probably both, fam. There's a snort at Nikolai's words, but it's quiet. She nods up to Everly, then turns her gaze back forward, bow at the ready.
Korina shifts away from Anemone, carefully not looking her way at all.
Nikolai says "Dominus watching through the girl's eyes, again."
Oh, Everly can too! She gets confused between following orders and just following Nikolai himself sometimes, it seems. She unslings her rifle from her shrimpy shoulder and spots Ari from over Korina's shoulder. The upnod is returned with one in answer.
And he's off - Nikolai steps through the air to appear before a red-skinned, winged humanoid and swing his hammer right into the thing's knee, forcing it down onto the ground with him.
Anemone calmly walks towards the demonic creature, a greatshield in one hand and a shield in the other, inclining their head towards Nikolai as Nikolai mentions the eidolon.
Anemone er, a harpoon
Ari gives the humanoid an annoyed glare as she charges forward, hissing as that fireball singes her arm. "Fucker," she mutters, sighting an arrow on the thing. Totally unfair, clearly. "Gonna cause a forest fire."
