In Town Hall Northern Meeting Room
It is about 50F(10C) degrees.
Avi approaches representative of The White Circle, offering a handshake. "I've taken over from the previous Talon, but it's a pleasure to meet you - I hope we'll do plenty of business in future as well."
Strolling into the room, Deacon blinks when he spies Avi but he nods in the man's direction. Pulling a hand from the pockets of his black leather jacket he heads toward the representative that's shown up wordlessly. The tall Cajun man simply displays a folded piece of paper, proffered in the man's direction. "Just the messenger, sha. This is the offer." He hands over the slip before rolling his neck and stepping back over toward the door to lean against the wall next to its frame. Turning attention to Avi he lifts his chin, "Sa va, sha?"
There's a brief glance in representative of The White Circle's direction as Deacon turns his glance to his wrist or his phone, checking the time.
"Putting the work in?" Avi asks Deacon when he arrives and offers a slip of paper to the representative of The White Circle. "Don't trust him," Avi tells the representative of The White Circle as an aside with a subtle half-smile. "He cheats at pool, see," Avi badmouths Deacon. He stays nearby, but addresses Deacon again. "Va bien," is offered with a nod. "Et tu?" He then holds up a hand. "That's about the long and short of my brief stint in French class," he warns.
Deacon laughs easily, "Ahh! I do alright, myself sha. And that's about as far as I go for the Spanish!" His grin comes broadly before he glances at representative of The White Circle. "Who -doesn't- cheat at pool?" He wonders, sounding as if though that argument is just as valid as Avi's is.
"I don't cheat, I just make up new rules," Avi tells Deacon self-righteously.
Deacon says, with a smirk, "Bien is spanish right? Or did you mean Ca bon? "
Deacon says, with dry amusement, "A critical distinction "
"Va bien means 'I'm fine' in French," Avi reminds Deacon mildly.
