Clairabellas Ghost Banishing 250304
On a chilling night at the Sprawling Hillside of Arkwright Cemetery, Clairabella, joined by Edith and Siofra , sets out to banish a menacing presence. Their task quickly becomes a battle against not just one but multiple manifestations of supernatural threats. As Clairabella initiates the ritual with a slice to her wrist, the area is enveloped by a malevolent black mist, conjuring creatures of brimstone and shadows. Among these are a monstrous black spider and spectral warriors clad in dark armor, compelling the trio into action. Edith, wielding a ritual blade, coordinates their defense, while Siofra, despite exhaustion from a day's work, vigorously engages the ghostly adversaries. The arrival of a giant smoke mastiff, summoned by Clairabella, adds to their forces, taking on the spider as Edith aids Clairabella from entrapment.
The climax of the event unfolds as they confront a second wave of threats, with more spun spider monsters and armor-clad specters assaulting them. During these trials, the group faces a profound struggle against their own darker impulses, brought on by a pervasive, evil laughter designed to tempt them into sin. Despite the overwhelming odds and personal battles, their resolve remains unshaken. Edith, drawing strength from the night and her dominion over it, leads the team with minimal effort but decisive action, compelling one of the spectral warriors to self-harm before allowing Siofra and the mastiff to dispatch it. Amidst the chaos, Clairabella, with a calm born of necessity, continues the ritual, their focus unwavering even as they confront the very breath being stolen from their lungs by a circle of smoke monsters. In a moment of critical despair, it's the combined resilience of the group and a surge of magical power from Clairabella that ultimately dissipates the smoke and banishes the malevolent entities, leaving an eerie calm in the cemetery.

On the Sprawling Hillside of Arkwright Cemetery
It is night, about 46F(7C) degrees, and the sky is covered by grey clouds. There is a waxing crescent moon.
There is the sudden smell of brimstone that fills the area, and along with a rising, black mist: smoke, coiling along the surface of the graveyard. It seems to form strange whorls and shapes, and as they draw close to %n they begin to look more and more like creatures -- horned creatures, with red eyes full of menace.
Siofra(Ailuropoda melanoleuca, or Giant Panda) turns over its shoulder to glance at Edith, rising to its hind legs to ward off the distant ghosts.
Clairabella breathes a sigh of relief. "Oh good." She says with a smile, before slicing the scar on her wrist to begin the ritual.
"It is always these these days." Edith sighs. Nodding to Clairabella as she sets up, then Siofra(Ailuropoda melanoleuca, or Giant Panda), Edith produces a ritual blade, apparently intending on more direct casting this time around. "Siofra, you may cut loose at your leasure if you still possess the ability."
Siofra(Ailuropoda melanoleuca, or Giant Panda) has had a long day as an intern, hopefully not working for Panda Express- imagine the fur in the food? As such, its a slow start as the creature ambles forward in a funny trot and then, abruptly, viciously snarls and begins to paw at smoke.
There is a look above -- and then, from an overarching tree, Clairabella and their companions can see a black spider made of infernal smoke. It's huge, with a bloated belly, and then spun spider strands of black mist descend to wrap Clairabella into some awful cocoon.
Clairabella frowns. "The second one on Sunday was the ghost war. You weren't kidding." She frowns as she works.
Clairabella is trying to focus, please excuse the repeats...
places two fingers to her lips. There is a whistle, and from the air beside her, an enormous smoke-black mastiff manifests. The vampire observes Clairabella working, nods over to Siofra(Ailuropoda melanoleuca, or Giant Panda) as it trots off, points into the smoke and tells the mastiff, "Kill." The dog or its part leaps at the spider. Barking clawing and biting it attacks the thing as Edith begins to free Clairabella.
Moving out like a wide receiver for a ball, Siofra(Ailuropoda melanoleuca, or Giant Panda) spins on a raking paw and sprints back at a modest speed to attack something tangible. When it arrives, it picks up the dog and tosses it up to the spider- lifting with all of its modest 6ft of Panda-height.
"The ghost war ignores me. It is rather easy." Edith mentions conversationally as she cuts into the cocoon to free Clairabella.
"I appreciate you." Edith tells Siofra(Ailuropoda melanoleuca, or Giant Panda).
Siofra(Ailuropoda melanoleuca, or Giant Panda) bleats in a friendly snarl.
"Thank you." Clairabella tells Edith, shrugging off the webs with an annoyed look before continuing her ritual. "It would've been easier if the asshole dragging me there wasn't hindering me instead of helping."
"My dear." Edith deadpans, "This is Haven, you will have to be far more specific."
Out of the smoke charges an armed and armored warrior, spun out of black mist. He is dressed head to toe in archaic plate armor, wielding some huge, two-handed sword as black as his armor. With a roar, he rushes at Clairabella, swinging the sword in some attempt to cut off their head.
Clairabella ducks under the swing with a yelp. "Takeshi... shit, what is that thing?"
With an eldritch word and a sharp motion, Edith halts the spirit in its tracks- Siofra(Ailuropoda melanoleuca, or Giant Panda) can easily dismantle it. Edith's dog continues to dismantle the spider, and Edith has decided, apparently, to stand over Clairabella as she works. Minimum effort heroing at its best.
With a lumbering charge, Siofra(Ailuropoda melanoleuca, or Giant Panda) 's claws rake against metal and she delivers 1800 newtons and a little supernatural extra of bite force, giving the paralyzed creature a kill shake thrashing as she searches for the sensitive spots of woven smoke.
Siofra(Ailuropoda melanoleuca, or Giant Panda) actually sits down in the process, pressing forward with her claws on the arm and her teeth around the neck.

"Oh dear." Edith sighs. If she were watching, the vampire likely would have noticed the second spider, but no. Once Clairabella is freed of the first cocoon, Edith works on the second, Edith's hound moving in to barrel the arachnid from its perch, rolling with it towards Siofra(Ailuropoda melanoleuca, or Giant Panda), where they can both maul it.
Another spider, more day. At first, Siofra(Ailuropoda melanoleuca, or Giant Panda) attempts to throw overhand a piece of ghostly plate- however, the form is just not built for the task. With two arms, she sends the chest piece sorta back and behind her, before ambling- already panting, over to stand on her hind legs and drag the spider down.
It's not so different from a pro wrestler dragging someone off the ladder. Except there's a lot more barking, snarling, and eye pitched chirps muffled by sinew and smoke as the infernal thing is tugged between two mammals.
Clairabella keeps her calm enough to begin the spoken component of her ritual, a truly impressive feat considering the cemetery is turning into a safari around her. She also looks a bit nervous about Edith protecting her, especially with all the blood she is spilling to power the spell.

Again with the attacking armored figures- Edith speaks another word and as Siofra(Ailuropoda melanoleuca, or Giant Panda) and Edith's hound finish with the spider, Edith forces the thing to begin hacking at its own arm. Then, once Siofra(Ailuropoda melanoleuca, or Giant Panda) is ready, she and the dog can take it down easily, as Clairabella maintains the ritual.
Clairabella chooses to trust in Edith to not let her get beheaded this time as she works on the ritual of banishment.
rockets back with a very ugly human sprint. She has not right to run like this, and god forbid any that witness it running towards them. Arms extended, Siofra(Ailuropoda melanoleuca, or Giant Panda) tackles and spins with the creature and performs an ursine suplex!
For a moment, the dark smoke is still around Clairabella ... but then a low, evil laughter begins to echo. It takes only a second to realize the laughter is echoing inside the heads of those who fight here, and with it comes a sudden urge to give into everyone's worst sin.
Most days Siofra(Ailuropoda melanoleuca, or Giant Panda) would love nothing more to sort out the great intricacies of newfound taste by tearing the flesh off of living bone and wallowing in the lovely high.
A panda sighs, raking half-heartedly along the cauldrons of the creature it's currently crushing in its arms before she just.. Stops.
Clairabella shudders, her voice faltering for a moment as her fists clench, but she manages to contain herself, possibly because of the sight of the cute panda that has come to aid in the ritual. Pandas do make everything better, after all. She does, however, cast a nervous glance up at Edith as the laughter fills the group's minds.
This whisper-- The desire to give into sin is compelling, yes. Clairabella is right there, and someone and Edith's hound are having /fun/ with undead. It would be so very easy. That is if not for the location; Arkwright cemetery, owned by James Arkwright, a master vampire in vampiric terretory. But also in that it is the night. Edith is a creature very much of the night, and she is stronger here. Edith lives the darkness. Edith is its mistress, and so she resists; Only she gets to decide to whom she unleashes her malicious intentions upon, and now is not the time, and neither is it the place.

From the smoky mist, a circle of hooded figures seem to approach, chanting in unison. At first, they seem to be living people, but as they draw closer to Clairabella it becomes clear they are smoke monsters themselves. They reach out as their chants increase in volume, and it is as if they are sucking the air out of the lungs of everyone present.
Clairabella' words are cut off in a choking sound as she begins clawing at her throat, desperately trying to suck in air, any air, that she can. The ritual is forgotten for the moment as she struggles to breathe. A dangerous thing all ready.
Siofra(Ailuropoda melanoleuca, or Giant Panda) rouses without air in her head. There's something tranquil about the chanting. It's ugly, but it feels like home. She has just enough will roll over on her stomach, and just as she's about to fight the good fight-
The lack of air is hilarious to Edith - She doesn't care. The hound is given the same command again; "Kill." so kill it does, leaping for one of the figures as Clairabella choaks and fights for oxygen and Siofra(Ailuropoda melanoleuca, or Giant Panda) passes out.
The smell of smoke seems to peak, and then, with a rush of magical power, it's gone. The smoke monsters in the cemetery disappear, banished -- fading away as wisps of mist in the air around $n.
