Patrollogs
(Elias's bribery attempt)
[Sun Sep 8 2024]
On the Walkway Leading to the Front Steps of Town Hall
This sidewalk has recently been paved and placed, with mortar in between
the thick slabs of concrete. Some grass has attempted to grow between,
sprouting out thickly here and there, though it still remains in good
condition. Some casual indigenous wildflowers have been planted to either
side of the sidewalk, blooming during the warmer months and resting as dark
brown patches in the winter. A few trees offer shade here and there.
It is night, about 75F(23C) degrees, There is a waxing crescent moon.
Slipping some bills to hSD deputy, Elias states to him, "Well, I hear that incident with the.... accidental death is something that happens all the time. I do hear no real evidence was found, right?" As he tucks his hand into his pocket, his gray-blue eyes focusing on the officer.
Glancing over his shoulder, Elias continues to talk to the hSD deputy with the details, "Yes, that can be added, but we don't want to make it too unbelievable. Just a routine car accident." And he nods a few times, adding, "Well those claw marks could have been made by the jaws of life. They look sort of like that right?"
"I don't think there is any need to do anything about the family. As long as they believe the official story." Elias says to hSD deputy, keeping his tone down to hushed levels, he starts strolling casually along, pretending to point out the architecture of the town hall building, "Why? Do you expect there to be an issue?"
Shifting his attention from hSD deputy for a moment, Elias nods to Ash, "Ah, good evening. Nice evening isn't it?"
Ash nods, saying, "It sure is. Just out for a stroll, though." They give another nod to the hSD deputy deputy, before meandering away. Though they almost seemed like they were in a hurry when they arrived, all that is gone now, upon seeing Elias. Instead, they slide their hands in their pockets, their rolled up sleeves showing their new tattoo. "Officer," they acknowledge, before heading away again.
Leaning over hSD deputy's clipboard, pointing at a few points in the report, Elias notes, "That needs to go, so does that. I mean, we don't want any ties to our people at all. It has to look completely like an accident." hSD deputy explains how the scenario went down in greater detail to the dark haired man and Elias rubs his chin thoughtfully, "I do get that, but do you superiors even want that in the official reports? Isn't it better for everyone for all of this to be kept quiet anyway?"
"Alright, I think we have an understanding here. I can't see how this report could be any better." Elias says to hSD deputy, nodding a few more times before noting, "I am glad you used my consulting services with this. To ensure that this report was accurate as possible." And the dark haired man palms money to hSD deputy in a handshake.
