Patrollogs
(Emmanuel's bargaining)
[Tue Oct 8 2024]
In Town Hall Northern Meeting Room
It is about 60F(15C) degrees.
"Hallo, hallo," Emmanuel greets the Russian rep as he sidles into the room, affording the fellow a big old grin, "Not your favourite, I know, but I am thinking that all the other Russians in the town are feeling very sleepy right around now. But this is okay, non? When the cat is away the mice will play, as they are saying," The Frenchman muses as he shifts in closer, "And this mouse is coming with an itty bitty deal."
"It is a sneaky-beaky deal, hm?" Emmanuel leans in closer yet to mock-whisper, raising a hand to cover his mouth away from the largely empty room as he lowers his voice, "We will not be reporting your many assets wandering around in this town doing their best, 'howdy do', American accents, for another, let us say, month or so? And in exchange, you can accidentally slide a few of the Vetr Corp contracts that are floating around on your desks our way, hm? It is a back-scratching deal."
"Now, on the other hands? You can say 'non', you can say that you would not want to be working with the Disruptors, hm? And we can be doing what we do best." Emmanuel extends back to representative of Russian Intelligence Service with a cheesy turn of the lips, "And we can see what we can do about disrupting, eh? That funny little operation you are having in the Ukraine even further than we already are, non? I am sure that there are some dirty little secrets flitting and floating about there, after all."
"You are knowing, the more I am thinking about this? The more it seems that you might need to sweeten the pot even further, mon ami," Emmanuel poses after a few moments, turning the pressure upon the Russian rep to come to the table now, and clucking his tongue gently, "But I do 'nyet' think you will be passing this up."
"..I also heard that Nikolai isn't even Russian," Emmanuel turns to gossip then, leaning in closer to the rep as he burns down the clock, "Apparently, mon ami, his real name? It is being Nicholas, hm? And he is Swiss of all things, eh? Swiss! This makes him very made. It is not being in his blood to be neutral. I think this is why he pretends to be Russian, because your accent is more scary, you are knowing? Da. Nyet. Das.. sat. You know what I mean."
"Oh, oh, and Konstantin? He blew up his apartment," This one is definitely a straight up lie, giving that it was actually Emmanuel that did this, "He said, and I am quoting, 'My old mister boss who was Russian made this apartment and I do non appreciate it,' so he blew it up by stepping on a landmine." The Frenchman shakes his head then, "It is a strange thing to do, non?"
