(Ethan's bribery attempt)
[Sat Nov 25 2023]
On Warden's Way Piercing the Wood to Reveal the White Oak Institute
Smooth asphalt roads continue through this part of town, bordered on either side by well maintained concrete sidewalks. Where the street is widest small median islands appear with old twisted trees planted in them. The buildings that line the street seem quaint, but well maintained.
It is noon, about 47F(8C) degrees, and there are a few wispy white clouds in the sky.
Stepping out of his Nissan, Ethan reaches into the confines of his jacket and unearths a necklace from its confines: one bearing that of a stylized sun. Prominently displaying it to the psychiatrist as Ethan shuts the door to this car, Ethan then lets it drop to the breast of his jacket while he begins to pull something else in his pocket. "Good morning," Ethan mentions, looking over towards the psychiatrist. "I've been told you're having a crisis of conscience." With narrowed eyes, Ethan makes a motion as if he were about to pull a weapon of some sort on the psychiatrist, but instead unearths a few twenties from his pocket instead. "A small taste of what we can do if you keep your mouth shut. Instigating a panic in town or going to the media? That'll make matters worse. For everyone else. For you."
As the obvious bribe is accepted, Ethan seems almost disappointed by how quickly the psychiatrist comes and goes. "Odd how little it takes with some people," Ethan quietly muses to himself. When the psychiatrist disappears back onto campus, Ethan takes a few step backwards and leans against his Sentra, casting a cursory gaze over the college. "Place gives me the creeps," Ethan mentions before Ethan walks around the front of the car to jump back into his Nissan. With a turn of the ignition, the car gently roars to life and soon the man departs for parts of the town unknown.
