Fayads Bargaining 240831

(Fayad's bargaining)

[Fri Aug 30 2024]

In Town Hall Northern Meeting Room

It is about 75F(23C) degrees.

Fayad converses with the representative of the Watchers, highlighting the methods through which the Disruptors could both benefit from and with their organization of supernatural investigators. Fayad explains that they are poised to, well, disrupt the operations of a great deal of organizations, and would be willing to give the Watchers anything interesting that the Disruptors find during their operations, in return for assistance with pinpointing proper places to strike. Fayad nods emphatically, stating that the Disruptors would honor any deal they made with a party as neutral and helpful as the Watchers, and hopes for their collaboration. Fayad turns his head this way and that, grimacing, as he notes the sudden possibility and, therefore, competition inherent in anyone else showing up to likewise make a deal. Stepping backwards, his talons clicking together nervously, he remains, muttering under his breath in hopes that the Watchers decide to go with the Disruptors after all and not with any newcomer's organization.

Fayad sighs, shaking his head as he comments to representative of The Watchers, "This ought to be good. I wonder what the pitch is when this 'forged fortune' thing doesn't have any community-facing information at all." as Isaiah enters.

"Listen, I know you guys are buddy-buddy with the Order," Isaiah tells the representative of The Watchers as he steps into the meeting, stuffing his hands into his pockets as he lightly puffs on his cigarette, "They stay on the fence about everything. They only pick the side that suits them. They care a lot about, I dunno, the environment or whatever," he claims, ashes falling to the floor as he speaks. "We're a mercenary band- we're kind of the same way, ya know? Whoever pays us, gets us. That's the rules." Fayad is greatly ignored in the moment, the redhead opting instead to speak with the representative. "We got information, you can read it here- we just ain't finished all of it. Been busy making moves around town."

Fayad snorts. "I can agree with that much, at least. Actually, no, they don't pick any side at all. The fucking do-nothing Order," he grumbles.

Fayad says "ANOTHER mercenary group? Arrows weren't enough?"
"The Order is a bunch of fucking morons," Isaiah tells a representative of The Watchers with a devil-may-care attitude. "They're losers, they an't get their fucking shit together. Worse than the Temple- I swear to God, I'm not lying, ya know? No offense to your pals, but c'mon, do /something/, ya dig?"

Fayad says "Worse than the Temple? At least the Temple shows up and tries."
