Fayads Ghost Banishing 240830
On a sweltering afternoon at Arkwright Cemetery, Fayad and his emberwolf are ambushed by three spectral pirates, each garbed in decaying ballroom and pirate attire, armed with ethereal weapons. As the ghost with flintlock pistols shoots Fayad, leaving no physical wound but a burning shoulder, the scene sets for a supernatural confrontation. Fayad, sweating under the pressure, attempts to unravel the ghouls with his mystical abilities, while his emberwolf fiercely engages the spectral assailants. In a crucial juncture, Euphemia rushes to Fayad's aid, offering her assistance in the face of the eerie piano melody filling the air, signifying a ghostly duel that steps into the realm of both the physical and the spectral.
As the battle intensifies, Euphemia's resolve hardens; she fights not with hesitance but with the fierce determination of one who knows they can affect the intangible. With Fayad focused on disentangling the spectral anchors that tether the ghosts to the mortal plane, Euphemia becomes his shield, taking ethereal stabs and shots meant for him. This sacrificial act allows Fayad to work his magic unimpeded, setting aflame the ghoulish pirates with his pyromantic skills. Together, they exemplify a powerful duo against the undead, showcasing that spiritual assailants can be combated through a blend of supernatural abilities, courage, and an unyielding bond between allies.

On the Sprawling Hillside of Arkwright Cemetery
It is afternoon, about 90F(32C) degrees,
A haunting piano melody suddenly creeps over the graveyard as one by one, three spectral forms raise up into sight. Each is somewhat decayed and dressed in a mix of ballroom gown and old pirate garb, one wields a pair of flintlock pistols, another a wicked cutlass and the third a pair of sharp looking knives.
Fayad's shoulder suddenly burns as the flicklock wielder materializes long enough to fire a shot into him, there's no visible wound.
Fayad jolts backwards as the spectral pirates assault him from all sides, slamming into his wards and protections. Sweat beads on his brow as his claw tugs at the strands of ectoplasm in the air, attempting to unweave the ghouls entirely. His emberwolf, summoned and ready at his side, snarls and barks, leaping out at the dagger-wielder and harrying it with a flaming bite before returning to its master's side.
Euphemia near immediately rushes to his side, skidding to a halt just before she slams into that intangible barrier. A knife is drawn, and she shouts: "...Fayad! quick, how can I help? I'm here."
Fayad glances towards Euphemia, gesturing. A haunting piano melody is playing from nowhere at this point in the graveyard, and three spectal forms are within view. Each is somewhat decayed and dressed in a mix of ballroom gown and old pirate garb, one with a pair of flintlock pistols, another a wicked cutlass and the third a pair of sharp looking knives. "They can't actually hurt you but they'd be a pain in the ass if they escaped into town. You need to distract them while I unweave their anchors using my claw."
The dual-knife wielder disappears before her arms suddenly emerge from the ground, stabing into the feet of Fayad to keep him in place as the cutlass wielder swoops forward.
Euphemia nods, stepping between Fayad and the Cutlass wielder... Her frigid gaze fixated upon the would-be attacker. She draws her knife with a flourish... swinging forward in a straightforward attempt to deflect the encroaching blade... without much thought as to whether her efforts would have any effect upon the opposing spirit.
Fayad winces in gratitude as the sparks fly. They were solid enough that they were visible to the naked eye, not even in the Nightmare, so Euphemia can, in fact, fight ghosts. "Just like that," he mutters, concentrating on his spellwork.
The double knife weilder appears suddenly behind Fayad, cackling right in his ear before rearing back to stab him in the back.
Euphemia with a swift backwards glance, Euphemia shifts her footing... stepping over the hunched form of Fayad himself in order to position herself over his body. She doesn't turn to deflect the blades... instead keeping her attention fixed forwards as they sink into the flesh of her back. She winces, readying her blade towards the scimitar-wielding spirit. "...Hells, I should have gotten my gear." She hisses.
Fayad shakes his head. "Doesn't matter," he grunts. "They'd go right through any armor you'd wear. They're ghosts. Best of both worlds.", he comments. "The pain is phantom. I just have to concentrate. Keep helping."
Fayad's shoulder suddenly burns as the flicklock wielder materializes long enough to fire a shot into him, there's no visible wound.
Euphemia hunches herself over Fayad as an umpire might guard a base. "...Don't talk. focus." She snarls quietly. Frigid, sky-blue eyes flit around... trying not to track the movements of the swirling figures around them... but to assess their patterns of attack. She holds both arms out wide... knife in her right hand, ready to either intercept or deflect any oncoming attacks. keeping a subtle eye on the ground below.
The dual-knife wielder disappears before her arms suddenly emerge from the ground, stabing into the feet of Fayad to keep him in place as the cutlass wielder swoops forward.
Euphemia shoves one of Fayad's feet aside with her own, having anticipated the attack before hand. She screams as the dagger sinks through her sandal... not simply a cry of pain, or adrenaline... But an unfettered war cry that fuels the swing of her arms moving to intercept and deflect the scimitar swung from above.
The three spirits surround Fayad, attacking and harrying him from all sides.
Fayad stumbles slightly but recovers well, the glimmer of his claw plucking at the air continuing. A heat haze surrounds him, the relic-powered pyromancer scorching away at the ghouls. Small fires form on their ectoplasmic bodies, burning away at cloth and spirit alike.
