(Kylia's ghost banishing)
[Wed Jan 3 2024]
On the Sprawling Hillside of Arkwright Cemetery
It is dusk, about 36F(2C) degrees, and there are a few dark grey stormclouds in the sky.
A brisk wind picks ups, blowing into the gaveyard from the ocean. Dark clouds start to gather overhead and with a crack of thunder lightning strikes the gravestone! As an eerie cackling starts to echo through the area a terrible coastal storm starts to lash the graveyard.
Kylia gazes upon the chainsaw, her lips curving into an impish sort of smile, "If this is anything like the last banishing, you'll probably need it." Her gaze sweeping around in a methodical survey, "The last time I was at this the dead literally rose from the ground. It worked in ash versus the devil dead. It can work here too, I suppose."
"I am not interested in getting struck by lightening." Evelynn explains then she poofs into a moth and struggles to flutter away, abandoning the others to whatever they want
Kylia is suddenly possessed by some sort of spirit and staggers several steps towards the coast uncontrollably before they are suddenly freed.
Savannah watches as one of the possible helpers in this ordeal has vanished and she clears her throat, "Perhaps, we let this one run..." She looks to Kylia and then steps away a little more, "Might be best to get reinforcements, I'll see if I can find anyone."
"Oh, no, it's too powerful." Kylia bemoans, walking away as she realizes this definitely fun, necessary and not chore-like society activity will yield no reward.
A fierce howling wind gusts through the graveyard, kicking up sharp branches and brambles that tear at clothes and skin.
Savannah steps up through the wing towards the stairwell, but pauses upon spotting Sarah and Cailyn. She wets her lips briefly before nodding to them both and waving, "Afternoon. I was going to make sure things got cleared up in case she left a mess."
Sarah shrugs to Savannah, "I would have killed her, but she started begging, so I just banished her. Claire can bring her back if she wants to take responsibility of this creature."
Sarah says "Would anyone be available to aid on road-building?"
Cailyn shakes her head. "No mess made, Deputy," she claims with a soft smile, a hand settling at her hip. "I like to think I'm making Sarah soft."
Kylia is suddenly possessed by some sort of spirit and staggers several steps towards the coast uncontrollably before they are suddenly freed.
Kylia says "I can help, yes. Where is it happening?"
Sarah says "The Other"
"I don't think Claire wants anything to do with her, so I wouldn't worry about that," Savannah says to Sarah, shaking her head side to side, "Glad it has been resolved." SHe looks to Cailyn, smiling a little, "Oh yeah? I don't know about that, but perhaps helping her in many ways."
Kylia says "I'm not sure how I'd get there. Which address is closest?"
Sarah cocks her head, "She /was/ one of Claire's subs, going by her texts." Sarah suggests to Savannah, then folding her arms. She looks aside to someone. "...We're picking up Kylia, she'll be aiding us. We'll need it - even with three, the Other is tough."
Sarah cocks her head, "She /was/ one of Claire's subs, going by her texts." Sarah suggests to Savannah, then folding her arms. She looks aside to Cailyn. "...We're picking up Kylia, she'll be aiding us. We'll need it - even with three, the Other is tough."
Sarah says "We can pick you up from home?"
"See? She's folding her arms, looking tough," Cailyn teases before leaning over into Sarah. "Sounds good to me."
"Perhaps, but I think she probably learned the woman was insane very quickly," Savannah says to Sarah as she shrugs her shoulders, looking to Cailyn with a soft chuckle, "I think she might be tough, Cailyn, and good luck to you all in there, it is a difficult place to be."
Kylia says "Let me get my stuff real quick and I'll meet you outside."
Kylia is suddenly possessed by some sort of spirit and staggers several steps towards the coast uncontrollably before they are suddenly freed.
Sarah tilts her head, "I'd ask you along, but I suspect it probably is a bit much for a natural." Sarah mutters with a tired expression, "..>Let's go pick up Kylia."
Cailyn raises a brow to Sarah, looking like she might say something for a moment before just simply humming.
"It seems I handle myself well enough in a lot of situations," Savannah says to Sarah as she looks to the woman, smirking some and shrugging, "I just don't have the time to do it right now, but you all stay safe, mm?" She waves to Cailyn and the other woman.
Sarah nods to Savannah, then puts an arm around Cailyn's waist, guiding her back through the clinic
Cailyn is soft in her gaze, head tilting to the side. "You're just really affectionate today."
Kylia feels preternaturally cold fingers on their arms and a dark chuckle as something whispers in their ear, "Pretty pretty..."
Cailyn snaps her attention over towards Kylia, brow furrowing.
"If you ignore it long enough it'll go away." Kylia assures the group, shouldering her sniper rifle as she strides toward the car.
Sarah cocks her head, "...Something going on?" Sarah wonders, then shaking her head. "Fair enough."
Sarah says "Time to blindfold Cailyn because she's kinky..."
"Only a little. Hello Kylia," Cailyn hums out.
Cailyn says "Hm... I seem to have misplaced my vest."
Cailyn feels about in the car- Probably touching someone innapropriately in the process. "Nope- That's skin."
Kylia lifts one shoulder in a casual yet deliberate shrug, "I'd lend you one of my bodysuits but it probably wouldn't work. It's skin tight. You'd see the bulge."
Sarah sighs deeply, "You can loan one of mine. Or kylia's if she's not wearing her augmented one and she can borrow my augmented one then>" Sarah offers, "...The most important thing is this. If there's a fight and it seems dangerous, look towards the road and sprint. Don't be a hero."
"It's just the two of you, so I don't care about bulges. Besides- I tuck. You can barely see it when I'm soft," Cailyn claims with a small hum.
A heavy tree branch, flung by the storm, crashes into Kylia's mid-section.
"I hate spirits." Sarah agrees, then handing Cailyn a vest. "This one is augmented. Do not get hit with it. I will need it back at the end. If it saves your life or you damage it too much, I'll expect you to join the Hand." Sarah suggests ifrmly, "...It's a valuable Hand asset. Kylia worked hard on it."
Cailyn says "... Huh?"
Sarah cocks her head, "Are we agreed?"
"Ghosts." Kylia explains toward Cailyn, "I will employ the most powerful tool one can against villians they're fed up with and defeat it with the power of apathy." A hand scrubs into the side of her face, "Probably the last wave of vests I'll ever get to make. Thanks, Venice."
"... We are agreed, yes," Cailyn murmurs before frowning. "Sarah? Do you want me to resign from the Order?"
