Lynettes Ghost Banishing 250222
In the eerie dawn of Arkwright Cemetery, Lynette and Takeshi faced an onslaught of demonic entities, unfurling from the depths of a shadowy mist. The air, thick with the stench of brimstone, became the battlefield for an otherworldly confrontation. Takeshi, assuming the role of the protector, positioned himself between Lynette and the emerging threat, his confidence unshaken despite the horrors they faced. Lynette, though shaken, revealed her untapped magical abilities in a desperate bid for survival. Her powers, raw and untested, became their only hope against the advancing hellish creatures. The arrival of a massive spider of infernal smoke, spinning Lynette into a cocoon, escalated the danger, pushing Takeshi to a daring rescue that displayed his martial prowess as he miraculously freed her from the impending doom.
As the battle intensified, Lynette's powers began to manifest more profoundly. The warmth of her magic contended with the cold malice of the spirit world, incinerating the ethereal flesh of their foes and challenging the very nature of their existence. Takeshi, with relentless courage, engaged the enemies in physical combat, his swordsmanship a lethal dance that carved through the demonic ranks. The pivotal moment arrived when Lynette, embracing her newfound strength, summoned a swarm of light that devoured the darkness, an embodiment of her will against the malevolence besieging them. With every creature they felled, their synergy grew, Takeshi's blade and Lynette's magic intertwining in a desperate symphony to banish the darkness. Amidst the chaos, an armored shadow warrior emerged, its intentions clear and malevolent. Yet, against the unity of Lynette's burgeoning power and Takeshi's indomitable spirit, it found no purchase. The spectral knights and their demonic brethren, once menacing in their advance, crumbled under the assault of light and steel, their forms dissolving into oblivion. In the aftermath, the dawn broke, casting away the remnants of the night’s terror, leaving Lynette and Takeshi standing victorious amidst the quiet graves, their bond fortified in the crucible of battle.

On the Sprawling Hillside of Arkwright Cemetery
It is dawn, about 0F(-17C) degrees, and the sky is covered by dark grey clouds.
There is the sudden smell of brimstone that fills the area, and along with a rising, black mist: smoke, coiling along the surface of the graveyard. It seems to form strange whorls and shapes, and as they draw close to %n they begin to look more and more like creatures -- horned creatures, with red eyes full of menace.
Takeshi shrugs "Either you're ready or not ready" He says before looking over his shoulder as the creatures begin to surface. He takes a defensive position in front of Lynette between her and the spirits as he grins at them like looking at old friends. "I no clue about magic or banishments, you do that part." He informs her before looking over his shoulder with a wink "I keep you safe."
There is a look above -- and then, from an overarching tree, Lynette and their companions can see a black spider made of infernal smoke. It's huge, with a bloated belly, and then spun spider strands of black mist descend to wrap Lynette into some awful cocoon.
Takeshi So much for keeping her safe ...
A chill runs down the spine of Lynette at the sight of the creatures. Definitely the most unnerving sight she's witnessed since arriving here. "You're acting like I have any more experience in this" Lynette snaps to Takeshi, looking up to see the spider. "I-Isn't killing spiders a job for men?" She acts, quickly backing away
Takeshi is too distracted by the demons in front of him to notice the spider that was creeping up behind them! Before he had even thought to look behind him she was already being spun up! "WOAH! WOAH! WOAH!" He shouts as he immediately fails in his job of keeping her unmolested whilst she works on some kind of ritual!
He flickers out of sight, appearing midair past Lynette, hunched over and with his knees tucked to his chest. His Nodachi was held at his waist and his hand was at the handle like he'd just finished sheathing the thing ... A second passes and the web surrounding Lynette bursts into strands, like it had been cut in a thousand different places!
Some figure forms in the smoke: tall, it has twisted horns and red eyes. It levels a gnarled finger at Lynette, beginning to chant in an unknown language as the air begins to crackle with magic. Immediately, Lynette can feel something like a vise closing on their heart.
The webbing was a tight, uncomfortable restraint, but perhaps the far more terrifying part was being so close to a spider. "T-Tank!" Lynette would help just as he materialized beside her. As she's freed she screams, hitting the ground with her restraints gone. "F-for fucks sake... We can't catch a break- go away!" Lynette groans, looking up to see the figure speaking in tongues, looking directly at her. A squeeze begins around her heart as she gasp, reaching to her chest. "L-let go..." Lynette mutters, feeling this sort of warmth growing in the air around her, after if swelling with her feelings. As if the world itself bends to her will, so does the air around this spirit. It begins to heat, slowly burning the smokey flesh of it's figure, trying to swallow the being whole.

Takeshi was flying across the battlefield after the leap that had sent him through the air to cut through Lynette, and then hits the floor scrambling as he turns out and sprints for the demon next! "H-Hold on!" He shouts as he tries to get from one side of the battlefield to the other!
He tackles into the demon after his long sprint! He holds it still as the world starts to bend, quickly yelping before he gets caught in it too and jumping back, his eyes opening wide as he watches the shadow turn into dark mist in front of his eyes! "Woah ..." He says "What was tha-" He begins before his eyes bulge open and his jaw drops as he one piece faces at Lynette getting snatched up by yet another fucking spider!
As Lynette would have a shift in fear from one enity to yet another fucking spider, that strange energy in the air would follow. The heat works against the threads, practically melting them off each time they touched her skin. "What... I don't know what's happening either!" Lynette would insist, tossing a worried glance towards Takeshi. As if being rejected by the tree itself, the branch this massive spider was resting on would begin to shake, snapping off and dropping the spider to the graveyard floor.

Lynette would insist, tossing a worried glance towards Takeshi. As if being rejected by the tree itself, the branch this massive spider was resting on would begin to shake, snapping off and dropping the spider to the graveyard floor.
With a howl, some kind of winged monkey-demon swoops down near Lynette, its body made of living smoke. It's all grasping claws, striking hard to leave psychic scars that hurt like deep slashes. Other monkeys attack anyone nearby, with similar screeching, rending claws.
Takeshi was already on his way! A growl in his voice as he takes advantaged and the floored spider! He leaps into the air, drawing out his sword, turning the blade down before slamming it down into the bloated thing's abdomen as he lands.
He glares down at the thing, tearing his blade to the side with a hard yank as he opens up it's stomach to let it's bloated guts explode out with a messy splatter! "Stop getting fucking abducted!" Takeshi barks at Lynette as he rushes over to her once again, managing to actually intercept this time as he puts his sword up in front of him to protect himself as the monkey the size of his torso slams into him! "Settle the spirits! Do some Fae shit!" He barks over his shoulder at Lynette
Her chin would lift at the sound of howling. "Tank- Fuck- Next time I get to pick what we're doing for the day!" she yelps, seeing some sort of demon monkey appear. "I-I'll try, just stop letting them touch me!" Lynette practically begs, relieved that the one with a sword is actually in front of her now. Her eyes flutter shut as she concentrates. On what exactly? She didnt really know, but all the same there would be this power rolling at her fingertips. It was a foreign limb to Lynette, as if it was always there and never used. She'd tug on it now, pulling that strange sensation forward before relasing it, letting it wash over her finger tips and into the air. Visually, Takeshi would notice small lights dancing around her skin, before darting off and around them. These little lights seemed attracted to the darkness, sucking it up and giving it no space to exist in. That inky, smokey skin of theres being absorbed into the lights. It was a slow process however, and the lights were quite small, as if signifying her inexperience.
Out of the smoke charges an armed and armored warrior, spun out of black mist. He is dressed head to toe in archaic plate armor, wielding some huge, two-handed sword as black as his armor. With a roar, he rushes at Lynette, swinging the sword in some attempt to cut off their head.
Takeshi is leaning back as the magic reaches him! His hand at the back of his blade as he holds it as the only thing between him and the shadow monkey perched on top of the blade wildly clawing at his face! His teeth are gritted as he wrestles with it, but it looks like it was a losing battle!
Right as he's about to fall to his back though, the light reaches the creature, it's movements slowing! Takeshi' eyes open up as he recognizes the opening, lashing out lighting fast as in a quick double movement he shoves the monkey back and then brings his sword up to slice it in half from shoulder to hip! "That's it! Keep going!" He cackles happily over his shoulder as an aura of light, created by the firefly like drifting balls starts to expand out from Lynette. He takes a step back into the aura as the demon rushes the both of them, resting the Nodachi on his shoulder and giving the thing a cocky smirk as it's blade slams into the orb of light like it was a solid object and bounces right off! "So sad-" He laughs at the knight. His blade lashes out from it's scabbard for a single moment before being returned to it with a metal click, the arm of the knight holding it's weapon severing at the elbow and falling to the ground as Takeshi laughs at it!
A trio of horned smoke-monsters advance out of the mist. They have twisted weapons formed of smoke, and they descend on Lynette, howling in an incomrephensible, devilish tongue.
For some reason the more Takeshi laughed the more fear Lynette felt. It was as if she knew the happier he was the more danger they were in together. Even so, she focused on concentrating her magic, feeding it, growing it. From what Takeshi said it seemed like whatever I was doing was working. Lynette let's out a grunt from straining as she tries to pour more of herself into it. The lights in response brighten, shining out the darkness.
The small ball of light that Takeshi hit like a ball got to work immediately, swallowing the inky darkness of the beings chest, slowly causing it to crumple.
At the same time, the numbers around Lynette increased, immediately being drawn towards the new hoard that emerged.
"Eh? Three?" Takeshi asks, a frown on his face. His eyes flicker over to Lynette for a moment as if wondering if maybe this might actually be getting to the point where it was too much for her to handle and he decides to thin out the crowd a little before letting them reach the cocoon of firefly lights she'd created for herself
His torso dips forwards, practically horizontal to the ground as he dashes through the middle of the group, turning to face them once behind them and drawing his sword with a grin, letting the scabbard clatter to the ground. "Find one creating shadows" He calls out to Lynette as he lowers into a low combat ready stance "These just shadows. Cast out spirit summoning them!"
As the battle intensified, Lynette's powers began to manifest more profoundly.
