Selinas Big Game Hunt 241116

(Irene's big game hunt)

[Fri Nov 15 2024]

In The Forest

It is night, about 44F(6C) degrees, and the sky is covered by thin white clouds. Ankle high mist flows through the area. There is a full moon.

When Selina elects to attack Irene, the figure curses under their breath, swiftly attempting to back away and escape. Out from their wrist, a pair of kevlar cords fire at the dragonness, wrapping around her limbs to immobilise her where she stands. Though a few warning shots spark at her feet, they turn to the trees, searching for a way out.

"You did not think I would forget you, did you?" Selina asks of Irene, shaking her head slowly back and forth. When the fight starts, she just adopts a stance to prepare, and Irene gets to start off with a bola around her legs. She slips her rapier down the length of her legs to let it be caught with the bola, then slices it away. "Raui-o Echor!" she says in a commanding tone, pointing her free hand toward Irene to let a chilly ray loose at the other woman. "I lost a week in the clinic because of you. I lost something precious for a while, because of you. Now I hear you are cheating your way into potions that do not belong to you," she says, calmly from behind her gas mask. She shakes her head slowly once more, glancing over at Elora.

And the next moment, Selina vanishes into shadows to step out near Irene. A knight shows up on a large lizard to start shooting at Irene as well, but compared to the incoming blade in Selina's hands, the Knight is not really a major concern for Irene. She obviously has some annoyance to work out, and she has elected to do so on Irene, regardless of others potentially interfering or not. Once she has stepped through the shadows, she begins a rapid series of thrusts and slashes, probing Irene's defenses to look for an opening. The moves are so fast, that she easily finds one and manages a decent hit against Irene's vest.

Irene is not a pirate, but she tries her very best impression of one. "Parle?" she proposes, in a feminine voice that belies her outwardly rather masculine appearance. Nevertheless, for the time being she attempts that parle with a quick cut of her combat blade, and still seeks an opening through the trees to try and escape.

Elora is quite obviously shocked when heading over in search of the game to find a battle between Selina and Irene. Hastily, and clumsily, she dons her armor, and pulls out her rapier. She fumbles her bow as she tries to take it out, dropping it. "Well, I suppose the fact that I identified my stalker who claimed war on me is now known. I had looked forward to hunting you, with you," Elora lilts out to Irene as she closes the distance between her and Selina. "But I suppose this is another hunt, with you, for you." Rapier now out, she strikes at the woman, her blade banging against Irene's raised shield.

Selina offers no quarter and no mercy. While she may not have expected Elora to join in the fight on her side, Selina does not pull her punches to drift towards parley. She may not even know that word, lacking pop culture references and need for it in English. As Irene tries to get away, Selina stays with her, stepping out of another tree's shadow right beside her once more, using the distraction of Elora's attack to make her own stab through the opening toward Irene's right leg, definitely inflicting a wound in the process. When she draws her blade back, she does so still in a stance ready to continue. Her off hand balls into a fist with a creak of leather as she prepares for the coming blows to render Irene unconscious.

Seething in pain, Irene staggers to the forest floor, clutching at the bleeding cut on her trouser leg inflicted by the blade of Selina's sword. "The two of you have me confused," she hisses out, in her subtle Hispanic accent. "I'm just a soldier who follows orders, and I'm not looking for trouble. I'm not a Disruptor, not trying to fuck with your Knights." As a last recourse, she uses her one free hand to jab at Selina, even as she tries to stagger back, holding it up soon after with her fingers raised, as if in surrender, while it sparks in the air.

Elora assuming Irene is actually already close to being down for the count comes up and tries to slam the side of her blade against the woman's head to knock her out. It is apparently a mistake, as she does no such thing, instead missing. It doesn't stop the mounting anger in her motions. "Watch me," Elora hisses. "Put me in a game. That was you."
