Battle With Mudripper 241105
The tranquil morning at the Edwardian stone manor was shattered when Emily encountered Mudripper, a fearsome adversary. Frantic and inexperienced, Emily attempts to defend herself with a sword, her movements clunky and born of sheer terror. She lunges at Mudripper in a desperate riposte, her focus entirely on the monstrous figure before her. Selina, an argenti draco hybrida, emerges in scintillating light, positioning herself protectively between Emily and Mudripper. Despite her formidable presence and draconic roars, Selina initially hesitates to attack, instead adopting a stance that blends animalistic aggression with the poise of a trained combatant.
As the confrontation escalates, Mudripper, relentless in his aggression, tries to run Emily through with his spear. In response, Selina launches herself at Mudripper, engaging in a fierce skirmish that sees her trying—and failing—to breach the eel-like defenses with her claws and teeth. Brian arrives amidst the chaos, attempting to intervene with gunfire that adds to the melee but struggles to find a clear shot. Emily, though dazed and wounded by Mudripper’s spear, continues a frenetic defense, slashing wildly in panic. Throughout the ordeal, Selina undergoes a transformation into a larger, more imposing bronze dragon, biding her time to find an opening to rescue Emily from the eel-like appendages of Mudripper. Meanwhile, Mudripper shifts his attention towards Brian, leaving an opening for the others to regroup or counterattack, but the situation remains dire, with Emily severely wounded and the outcome hanging in the balance.

Before a vine-draped Edwardian stone Manor
This manor features an impressive Edwardian stone facade, with towering
Northern and Southern wings reaching towards the sky. The gray stone is
adorned with intricate carvings and details, while wisteria and other floral
vines climp up the front of the manor, their delicate tendrils wrapping
around the stone and softening the imposing structure. Before the main
doors, a wide, sweeping path of aged cobblestones is flanked by immaculately
manicured lawns that stretch out to the edges of the property. The drive is
bordered by immaculate gardens, with perfectly manicured lawns and
meticulously pruned topiaries in various geometric shapes. Flower beds are
arranged in intricate patterns, showcasing a vibrant array of colors from
roses, lilies, and hydrangeas, their sweet fragrances mingling in the air.
A grand fountain stands at the center of the path, its cascading waters
creating a soothing ambience that complements the gentle rustling of
leaves in the nearby trees. The fountain is surrounded by a circular
arrangement of colorful flowers, their delicate petals dancing in the
gentle breeze.
It is morning, about 35F(1C) degrees, and the sky is covered by dark grey stormclouds. It's snowing.
Emily scrambles to grab for her sword as she lays eyes at Mudripper, in turn scrambling to fumble with her own sword, pointing it at the spear and towards Mudripper in a rather sloppy stance that denotes the beginner. Her pupils dilate and she starts to take quick and shallow breaths, her body reacting, tensing, adrenaline pumping through her veins, her fear and terror palpable. A desperate lunge towards Mudripper follows, trying to counterattack in a telegraphed riposte despite being forced off-balance by the jab of the spear. She has no eyes for Selina, all her attention on Mudripper
Selina(argenti draco hybrida) bursts forth from scintilating light and crosses the gap between where she was and Mudripper. She does not yet attack, but she does, vaguely try to interpose herself between Emily and Mudripper as best she can. She lets out a draconic roar then adopts a stance that is half-bestial, half trained combatant. Her tail lashes with agitation behind her, and she spreads her wings open to try to appear more intimidating and larger than she actually is. Her pale blue eyes stare at Mudripper, ready and waiting to meet hostility with like.
Mudripper echos Emily's scream by opening his mouth wide and echoing it back, feminine tone and all. His spear plunges, to try and run Emily through. Maybe just because she startled him. The attack does not stop, but as long as Selina(argenti draco hybrida) or others do not interfere, he seems singularly focused on attacking the 'threat' The roar however makes some of the eels that make up his base shift their focus and writhe frantically in Selina(argenti draco hybrida)'s direction to seek to meet the next possible attack
Selina(argenti draco hybrida) gave Mudripper a chance to not keep going after Emily, but when they refuse to stop, she has to intercede. Another draconic roar rings out as she launches herself at Mudripper, claws, teeth, and tail lashing out to try to get a piece of the humanoid figure within the eels. She does not succeed however, meeting the spear each time she goes in for an attack. When she relaxes slightly from her assault, she makes sure this time to keep herself firmly between Emily and Mudripper, growling quietly as she crouches for the sake of mobility, mirroring each step Mudripper takes to try to get at Emily.
Brian rolls up to the front of the house, pulling his vest on and grabbing his weapons as he sees the creature fighting with Emily and the draconian. He brass-checks his rifle, then shoulders it and lets out a slow breath as he opens fire on the mass of eels.
Emily stumbles as the spear catches her right in the chest, only her armour preventing her from getting skewered, but the force is enough to make her lose her rapier, sending it clattering to the ground. She uses the distraction Selina(argenti draco hybrida) provides to dive for it and scramble to her legs to desperately rush at Mudripper once more, panic in her eyes and instinct clearly having overridden any higher faculties. Another loud and less than eloquent "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" comes from her throat during her charge.
Mudripper numerous eels move to wrap around Emily's limbs and move her suddenly into the path of anyone elses attacks. Even though she's being held, when the spear comes down to strike her its Selina(argenti draco hybrida) who manages to get in the way of the blow and prevent contact.
Selina(aereus draco) manages to get out of the way of the first blow, but then, she is a much, much larger dragon. And bronze this time. She coils up, prepared to strike, except Mudripper has pulled Emily in to use as a shield for the moment. She instead tries to use her tail to pry Emily loose from the writhing mass and bides her time for biting and clawing until she has a clearer shot on Mudripper.
Brian moves for a better position, since he does not currently have a clear shot.
If Emily was panicking before, being grabbed by eel-like appendages and made to look at an imposing dragon destroys whatever is left of her coherent thoughts. Screaming and thrashing she ineffectually tries to defend against Mudripper while swinging her sword into the general direction of Selina(aereus draco), eyes wide and her breaths accompanied by incoherent screaming. "AAAAAH! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! AAAAH!"
Mudripper moves, leaping? Sailing on a pile of eels? It's hard to describe. He ends up just a little short of spear range of Brian, but his dead eyes show that he is locked on and coming for him
Brian turns to face Mudripper, and with a manic grin, he charges at the creature. His sword flashes as he raises it, planting his feet for a downward slash, but the creature is fast, and the spear is waiting to parry his blade.
"What the bloody mushroom patches?" Elora asks.
Emily keeps slashing in panic at whatever is in front of her.
Emily is clearly wounded, the spear having penetrated her armour, she stumbles back, dazed.
