On the Sprawling Hillside of Arkwright Cemetery

It is night, about 32F(0C) degrees, and there are a few dark grey stormclouds in the sky. Waist high mist flows through the area. There is a waning gibbous moon.

Ash shifts into their fully dressed form from the bat, weapons in hand, though they ready their spear and crossbow both when they get into range of the beast. They follow Colton's lead in preparing for Scourge's lunge before asking, "Who hasn't shown up?" Their tone is nonchalant, as if asking a passerby about the weather.""

Colton charges in quickly, ducking Scourge's swing to winnow a slice of his axe along the creature's guard before tugging the sword from its grip.

Rashid(wolf) charges by Colton, lunging forward to snap his jaws around Scourge's chest.

Riley quickly fires off an from her bow, her focus shifting between her allies as she does so. Any trace of trepidation that had lingered in her eyes vanishes with the shot.

"The sun," Scourge roars, swinging his sword towards Colton while his skull begins to glow. "Too bad they aren't here. Hell would have been pleased."

Ash watches Scourge's movement carefully, noting the glow of the skull as he casts, then grumbling as they miss him with their second shot, recognizing something in the course of battle.

Letting out a sharp grunt of pain as the blood vessels in his eyes burst, Colton swings his axe up at Scourge blindly and staggers back a few steps, raising his guard as he blinks through the reddish tinge distorting his vision. "I fucking hate magic," he growls.

Ash moves their hand, fingers curling in a small dance, and Scourge is glowing with lights, so that his black fur stands out against the night.

Riley fires another arrow, but once again, it misses its mark. A deep grunt of frustration escapes her lips as she glares at the missed shots.

Rashid(wolf) wrinkles his snout and snarls, lashing out at Scourge with his fangs.

Harriet stands off a ways, holding up her rifle and peering through the scope to view Scourge, making sure she's focused on the monster. She winces some as Colton growls, and hisses in a sharp breath through clenched teeth. With Rashid(wolf) attacking Scourge, up close and personal, she's extra careful with her shooting.

Colton's muscles tighten and harden visibly as his breathing speeds up, adrenaline coursing through his system, then he pounds forward, preparing to bring his axe down on Scourge with a mammoth blow.

Riley drawing her bow string back again, she takes some time to line up the shot, missing with it as she looks to Ash, eyebrow raising for just a moment before focusing on the beast.

Scourge lets out a haughty laugh, his maw open under his mask while more lights glow around him before his blade turns hot and he switches targets. "I must say, I am impressed. Even if I fail and the sun still lingers in Hell, the Void will soon come."

Rashid(wolf) whips his body away from the swing before launching himself back into the beast, pouncing at his legs.

Scourge says "Despair makes the worst monsters."
Riley grimaces as she lets loose an arrow, muttering a small prayer under her breath as she calls out, "I am really not good with these yet!" eyes going wide in surprise as she notices her arrow actually land, laughing a little she yells, "YES! YES!"

Even as he is going down, Scourge continues to fight.

"We got enough monsters in this town," Colton grunts, bring his axe back to bear against Scourge. He turns to flash an approving nod at Riley.

Ash moves forward, smiling with satisfaction, as they approach. "You are despair, then, beast of Hell?"
