Elegance In Shadows Sr Illyana 250103

In the buzzing district of Covent Garden in London, Sae-byeok and Ritsuka embark on an intriguing adventure amid a blend of the mundane and the supernatural. Their mission revolves around unraveling the vampire Hilaina Strahd’s mysterious disappearance from Florida, her influence over vampiric activities across North America, and her connections to London’s supernatural sphere. As they navigate through the vibrant and historically rich Covent Garden, they are drawn to the Royal Opera House, believing it to be a key location in their investigation.

At the Opera House, Sae-byeok and Ritsuka's path converges with a vampire, Kiernan, who unexpectedly offers insight into the vampire realm and Hilaina’s motives. Kiernan, a recent vampire creation of Hilaina Strahd, divulges that Strahd has relocated to the UK and is deeply engrossed in magitech experiments aimed at mass hypnosis and alchemic domination. Her ultimate goal is to control the ancient force known as the Demiurge, with the intent of creating thralls en masse and possibly harnessing this power to challenge her estranged son, Novel Norman, and his Anarch revolutionaries.

Amidst the grandeur of the Opera House and against the backdrop of a classic Hansel and Gretel performance, Kiernan entrusts Sae-byeok and Ritsuka with critical information on USB drives. This data sheds light on Strahd's magitech experiments, revealing her aspirations to dominate the force of the Demiurge and the potential catastrophic impact of her success. Sae-byeok and Ritsuka digest this information, realizing the gravity of the situation and the imminent threat to the balance of power within the supernatural community and beyond.

Kiernan’s betrayal of her vampire creator by sharing this information indicates internal conflicts within the vampire hierarchy and highlights her loyalty to Novel, despite their past. Sae-byeok and Ritsuka leave the encounter with a deeper understanding of the complexities at play in the supernatural world, armed with valuable data that could sway the balance of power and determine the outcome of Hilaina Strahd's ambitions.

As the curtain falls on their night at the Opera, Sae-byeok and Ritsuka are left to ponder their next moves, fully aware that the information they've obtained has the potential to spark conflict with the Hand and the Temple factions, and perhaps even within the Order itself. The adventure concludes with more questions than answers, setting the stage for future explorations into the shadowy realm where politics, supernatural machinations, and personal betrayals converge.

On Covent Garden in the west of London
Covent Garden is a vibrant district in the West End of London, known for its rich history, shopping, dining, and entertainment. Originally a fruit and vegetable market in the 17th century, it has transformed into a popular cultural hub. The area features the iconic Royal Opera House, street performances, and a variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants. Covent Garden is also home to the charming Covent Garden Market, which offers artisanal goods and crafts. The district's lively atmosphere, characterized by its cobbled streets and historic architecture, makes it a favored destination for both locals and tourists.

It is dawn, about -9F(-22C) degrees,

Covent Garden, located in the heart of West London, is a vibrant district known for its rich history, bustling atmosphere, and cultural significance, even to those of the supernatural world. Traditionally a market area, it has evolved into a lively hub that seamlessly blends the old with the new. The area is characterized by its striking 19th-century architecture, with charming cobbled streets lined with a mix of boutique shops, restaurants, and cafes. At the center lies the iconic market building-- originally established in the 17th century. The market now serves as a popular destination for both locals and tourists, housing artisanal food vendors, craftspeople, and various shops-- As well as a hidden enterence to London's own Goblin Market. The surrounding piazza is often filled with street performers, adding a dynamic and entertaining element to the environment, along with giving creative supernaturals an outlet from which to feed in the open without being identified. Musicians, magicians, and theatrical acts create an engaging atmosphere that draws visitors to linger and soak in the lively energy. The district is also home to the Royal Opera House- a renowned venue that enriches the cultural landscape of Covent Garden. The presence of such an esteemed institution attracts art enthusiasts and contributes to the areas identity as a center for performing arts. Nearby, the London Transport Museum showcases the history of the citys transport system, offering educational insights into Londons development. The green spaces, though limited, can be found in and around Covent Garden, providing a breath of fresh air amidst the urban environment. The nearby gardens and parks: St. Pauls Church Gardens and others, offer a tranquil escape where visitors can relax and enjoy the scenery. The interplay of greenery with the historical architecture enhances the aesthetic appeal of the area. Likewise, Covent Garden is well-connected to public transportation, making it easily accessible for those traveling from different parts of London. The areas lively atmosphere is complemented by a diverse culinary scene, featuring everything from traditional British fare to international cuisine, catering to a wide range of tastes.

As the sun sets, Covent Garden transforms, with its vibrant nightlife coming to life. The streets are illuminated by warm lights, and the sounds of laughter and music fill the air, making it a popular destination for evening outings. Whether its shopping, dining, or enjoying a performance, Covent Garden offers a unique and immersive experience that captures the essence of Londons dynamic , mundane spirit, though under the surface lays something far more sinister, that which Ritsuka and Sae-byeok seek- The answers to the mystery of why they are here. For with the vanishing of the vampire, Hilaina Strahd from her Florida home, the vampiric activity across the continent of North America, and the disappearing nightlife in Covent Garden, plus the up-swing in supernatural interest in London, there may be answers here. Sae-byeok and Ritsuka are here for their own reasons, of course, but from what is known, one of Lady Strahd's spawn frequents the location, and may be willing to speak to Sae-byeok and Ritsuka. There is that lingering connection to Novel Norman, of course, though if that will be answered is up for debate. For now however, Sae-byeok and Ritsuka must find the spawn, though in such a supernaturaly active location, it wont be easy. And just why is this spawn willing to speak with Ritsuka and Sae-byeok Is it the Novel connection again, or something else? Are there deeper machinations at play? -- Though mechanically, the game sees it as a little after twelve mid day, this adventure is dusk through early evening, so please ignore generated ambiance to the contrary-- Sae-byeok and Ritsuka were lead towards each other via their various sources, and when it became prudent, you were both offered pathing, leaving you a short way from the London stable Goblin Market enterence. (Please emote your meeting and we can begin)

Ritsuka stretches out as she makes her way out of an alley and then the way into the covent garden. She had not arrived on her lone, a protection detail was with her. It sort of always is, and here, they do as they usually do and stay nearby. When Sae-byeok waves to her, she returns the wave with a sweet smile. "Ohayo Kim-san. I am assuming that you are here for the vampire business, too? I think I have seen this spawn previously."

had a motley walk from a bathroom pathing. It's simply the best private place her contact 'knew best.' Dressed in what is very nearly a daughter's father's jacket, cuffs over a foot from the hands if not held, Sae-byeok waves with two covered hands to Ritsuka. "Oh hi you." Sae-byeok responds in Koraponese, "I haven't! So that's good."

Sae-byeok settles her eyes on the crowd, "You have a face to this spawn? My information is vague and scattered."

Ritsuka tries to recall on the vampire spawn she had witnessed. Of course she does not mention that she was shifted then.

Ritsuka says "... Maybe. I am not keen on testing that. But we should still be a little careful and cautious. Best to not get bitten, I have not fed on anyone recently, so I would be at significant risk to be afflicted with sickness."
Sae-byeok sways in 65/ life force.

"Mmm." Sae-byeok hums nasally, loosely in agreement.

As the sun dips below the horizon on this brisk January evening, Covent Garden transforms into a magical tableau, where the warmth of the holiday spirit lingers in the air despite the chill. The cobbled streets glisten with remnants of rain, reflecting the soft golden glow of the street lamps that flicker on, casting a warm, soft light over the bustling square. The iconic market, with its elegant architecture, stands like a guardian of history, its faade adorned with festive decorations that are just beginning to lose their sparkle. The atmosphere that Ritsuka and Sae-byeok find themselves within is alive with the sound of laughter and conversation, as visitors- wrapped in cozy scarves and hats- meander through the vibrant stalls and shops. The scent of roasted chestnuts and mulled wine wafting through the air, mingling with the crispness of winter. The echoes of footsteps on the cobblestones create a rhythmic soundtrack, punctuated occasionally by the merry tunes of street musicians strumming nearby. In the center of the square, a mime performs, captivating a small gathering of onlookers. His white-painted face, framed by a black beret, expresses a world of emotion without uttering a single word. With exaggerated gestures and playful interactions, he draws laughter and gasps, inviting the crowd to suspend their disbelief: Each movement is choreographed with theatrical flair, as he mimics struggles against an invisible wall or engages in a silent conversation with an imaginary friend, though with what they know, Sae-byeok and Ritsuka can see the signs, this fellow is quite clearly a faeborn of no little power-- He's likely here to feed. Children giggle, pointing and whispering to their parents, while couples exchange amused glances, momentarily forgetting the chill in the air... Though this chill is not quite natural-- It is cold enough that Sae-byeok can note the application of cryomancy to preserve the ambiance. Around the perimeter, the charming shops and cafes buzz with activity. Patrons sip steaming cups of coffee and hot chocolate, their cheeks flushed from the cold, as they huddle together, sharing stories and laughter. The sound of clinking glasses and the aroma of fresh pastries escape from the nearby eateries, creating an inviting ambiance that beckons passersby to linger just a little longer-- An arcane, magical sensation that is felt, but not impressed upon by supernaturals.

Sae-byeok closes her eyes with a sigh. Of her three senses, the eyes betray her most. With sunglasses on, slightly stumbling, she's just a semi-blind young woman with a boyfriend-coat memorial on her shoulders. Wallowing in the convenience that of a Dreamchild's subtle supernatural existence, she stops at the ring where the Fae makes his show.

Sae-byeok twists her ring, smelling the air like someone addled.

Sae-byeok glances at the Fae-fellow, then turns to follow the smell of food, wandering off short in the English crowd.

Sae-byeok takes off the obvious elements of her arcana.

As Sae-byeok and Ritsuka linger, the mime begins his latest performance. Those perceptive enough might notice the slight, almost imperceptable raise of a brow, though a professional, no more than this is shown. No, to the contrary, the latest performance is met by the circle of people laughing and cheering as he gestures, as though in deep sorrow towards the market house. There is no ore movement than this, simply that slight clue, though how, and why he has elected to do so is yet up for debate. Just beyond the Opera House, the transition into Covent Garden proper is marked by the historic market, which has evolved from its origins as a fruit and vegetable market to a thriving shopping destination. The Market Building, with its glass and iron architecture, houses a variety of shops and eateries, creating an inviting atmosphere for visitors, And it is this that Sae-byeok and Ritsuka aim for. It is of course logical that the same kinds of people Ritsuka would wish to feed from would be the same a vampire might, and such a crowd should, at least in theory, make hunting easily achieved. Following the scents and sounds, Sae-byeok and Ritsuka are able to reach first a cafe, and it's here where the first signs of activity can be noted: There are a group of people who look as though they were sick, and though it could be from the weather, they lack the red noses. More obvious however is that they look gaunt and drawn, as though from feeding sickness.

Sae-byeok, looking like a bored woman on her phone, stops around them, mumbling about an ex-boyfriend and sniffling emphatically.

in a common scent.

Sae-byeok, looking like a bored woman on her phone, stops around them, mumbling about an ex-boyfriend and sniffling emphatically.

Taking in a common scent.

Ritsuka does take a moment to retrieve a small container and retrieves a vial from it with mandrake tea from it, and drinks it, and then glances around. of course, her eyes draw briefly over the people, seeing if anyone holds trauma to their life force. They would be likely to be the more recent victim, though she does also note to Sae-byeok "By the looks of it, the vampire is having a feast. Drinks down too deeply. Could perhaps be a little feral."

Sae-byeok texts Ritsuka Or tortured. Weakened. I can think of a cause that a spawn might be weak. A sire? Not for blood, but for the standard feeding. I don't know what this woman looks like, but I'm catching the smell on these people to see if one lines up.

The market hall stands under a heavy, muted sky, its vibrant colors now dulled under the influence of mandrake tea, to shades of grey. The grand architecture, characterized by its elegant arches and wrought iron, seems to echo the bustling energy of the past, but today it feels subdued, almost melancholic. Is it always this way, Ritsuka and Sae-byeok are left to wonder as they gaze around. The air beyond vision-- Within the nightmare is thick with an ethereal fog that clings to the cobblestones, blurring the edges of reality and dream. Inside the hall, visitors lounge at tables adorned with rustic wooden surfaces, sipping coffees and nibbling on artisanal pastries, all unaware of the supernatural world that Sae-byeok and Ritsuka see before them. Laughter and conversation flows but a quieter, almost imperceptible energy pulses beneath the surface. Unbeknownst to the diners, a hidden world thrives just beyond the veil of the ordinary. Goblin-like things; small and mischievous, flitt between the shadows, their emerald skin glistening in the muted light. They are drawn to the discarded scraps and forgotten treasures left behind by the oblivious patrons. With quick, nimble fingers, they snatch up crumbs and shiny trinkets, their laughter a faint, tinkling sound that dances through the air, barely audible above the clinking of cups and the murmur of conversations in the real. Spirits, too, wander the halls, their forms barely discernible amidst the crowd. They glid through the throngs-- ephemeral shadows that leave no mark upon the polished floors. Some are playful, swirling around the unsuspecting eaters, causing a brief shiver or a flicker of unease. Others are more solemn, their faces etched with sorrow or longing, perhaps recalling a time when they were part of the living world that bustles around them. In the corners of the hall, shadowed figures loom, cloaked in darkness that seems to absorb the dim light. They move with a purpose, their intentions shrouded in mystery. Occasionally, they pause to observe the human diners, their eyes gleaming like distant stars in the night sky. Sae-byeok and Ritsuka see no vampire though. Or at least, none here, yet.

The story runner having fixed the issue returns to answer questions now

Sae-byeok looks up from her phone to stare at the arches overhead, lost in the profundity of memory.

A number of those mysteriously cloaked phantoms within the nightmare seem to be directing their attention through the market. The small emerald creatures likewise have noticed, and though the throng is wild and thick; Human detritus, alive and vital, there is a pathway where at once things are and are not treking. That leads through, and in the direction of the Royal Opera House.

Smell like blood and.. Dove bodywash? The one with the orange cap. Clean clothing smell. Sae-byeok texts to Ritsuka, Trail hard to catch. Maybe they go in and out of nightmare. Know it when I smell it.

Ritsuka makes to chew on her lower lip, and then glances around, watching the interactions from the goblin, and the shades are also given a look. This is, perhaps, the place that, serves as a hub for information. Her eyes follow after the trail, something with little emerald creatures that they have noticed. "Let's take a look at the Opera House, Kim-san? I think I should not even be surprised if the target hides their place there. It would feel fitting."

Sae-byeok shakes her head free of some thoughts, holding her temple. "Mmm.. Let me.. Let me like, walk in a circle to.. See if I pick something up- then okay. Go to Opera."

Ritsuka makes a small nod of her head to Sae-byeok "Okay, I will wait for that. Let me know if you see anything then?"

Sae-byeok makes an effort to look like someone who wants to be here. She buys a coffee. People who want to be here want to be awake. That's normal.

Sae-byeok, then, throwing it away a hallway later, does a brisk walk around the market house before returning to Ritsuka

Sae-byeok texts Ritsuka Is the only way to remove a brain chipping by breaking the controller?

Ritsuka looks down to her phone, and raises a brow. She shakes her head then, though it is certainly AN option, she does reply on text here. 'It is one way, but it can usually be adjusted. The only way to really remove it is surgically. The problem is only that they are Temple tech and very difficult to remove. Even I only have a chance of succeeding removing one, one in five times.'

I don't know how much I can afford to worry about her, but I do not like that Lenny can control Euphemia. She has lots of money probably. Worth considering. Sae-byeok types as she rounds back.

Ritsuka says "He should not have the controller item, but the temple have their own thing to use. So I cannot really do anything."
As Sae-byeok follows what trails she might via the nightmare infusion of mandrake and via the mundane mean of activity, the scent vanishes and returns- Vanishes and returns. It's broken, the activity of pressed life negatively impacting traces that might be easy to follow in less busy times. Yet, Covent Garden is active throughout the year, and at all times of day. Sae-byeok and Ritsuka gain the full experience; here they spot an obvious supernatural. There they spot a faction symbol. Hand is most prevalent, though the odd Order and Temple mark would be noted. The market hall is a vibrant culinary hub nestled in the heart of Covent Garden, attracting food lovers from near and far, mundanity and supernatural alike. As Sae-byeok and Ritsuka step around the throng, they are greeted by the enticing aroma of various cuisines wafting through the air, mingling with the lively chatter of visitors and the clinking of cutlery. The atmosphere is electric, with a throng of people navigating through the bustling hall, eagerly sampling the diverse offerings. At the heart of the market, Ritsuka and Sae-byeok find an array of eateries, each showcasing unique flavors and culinary traditions. One stall, known for its artisanal pizzas, boasts a wood-fired oven that emits a smoky fragrance, drawing in curious onlookers. Their signature Margherita, topped with fresh basil and creamy mozzarella, is a crowd favorite. And here is where Ritsuka and Sae-byeok find a scene of interest; A pale figure who seems to have passed out, with first-aiders surrounding him, the cloaked figures within the nightmare observing impassively as more make their way towards the exterior of the food court.

Just a few steps away, a vibrant food stand serves up mouth-watering bao buns, filled with tender pork belly, pickled vegetables, and a drizzle of hoisin sauce. The soft, pillowy buns are a hit among the diverse crowd, with visitors snapping photos before indulging in their flavorful bites. Here too the scent is noted, though once again, the shadowed figures pass on. For those craving something sweet, a charming dessert stall tempts passersby with its colorful array of pastries and cakes. The macarons, in an array of pastel hues, are a visual delight, while the rich chocolate clairs draw in dessert enthusiasts looking for a decadent treat. This is where another thing is noticed, Sae-byeok and Ritsuka nearly miss it, though their attention is drawn as a suspicious blond head of hair passes. One that Ritsuka recognizes, though too far away to catch up with easily.

A lively tapas bar showcases an assortment of Spanish delights, from crispy patatas bravas to savory chorizo. Here, groups gather around small tables, sharing plates and laughter, embodying the essence of communal dining. That again is where Ritsuka spots the woman again-- Most certainly the same, though her garb is far different. She is most certainly heading for the Royal Opera House, her evening dress and long gloves immaculate.

Sae-byeok squints at the distant head, extrapolating context in her head. Idly, she moves on in that direction at first, eyeing the victim out of the corner of her eye and looking over the loose barrier of bodies like an obnoxious gawker.

Ritsuka glances and sees the blonde, and lays a hand on Sae-byeok's arm. She peers over, and she is, fortunately, very tall for a Japanese woman, though not so tall here where westerners are still much taller. "Over there, kim. The blonde. Let's try and slide through the crowd, she's making her way to the theater. This is too public for me to catch her as I usually might, so we will have to slide through, maybe we can catch her at the entrance?" She then does try to slide her way through, holding her belongings closely. Though she, of course, gets a lot lot of attention, being so pretty, and she does not looked equipped for Winter at all, more for summer. Shows a lot of skin. And is definitely freezing somewhat.

"Kay." Sae-byeok mutters quietly, "If not take through the nightmare. I am sure they have mirror somewhere to get out of."

Ritsuka and Sae-byeok then head towards the Royal, and ahead of them is the blond woman. It's the best lead they have, and the scent matches up, even if there is some confusion by the broken nature of it. Yet, this woman is following someone, and she is in a better condition than when Ritsuka saw her last.

Sae-byeok texts as she follows in Ritsuka 's wake more or less, I made them scared maybe they are slower? Don't make eye contact with them if they turn around confused.

The blond pauses at the steps of the opera house. Ahead of her, the figure she was following enters; A well clad gentleman, he makes his way in without issue, though there is something about him that suggests something more to him, too. Yet, the blond appears frozen to the spot, and Sae-byeok and Ritsuka have a chance to catch up as the story runner looks for the description of the Royal.

Ritsuka glances back to Sae-byeok, and then - smiles. Her eyes sparkle with the same mischief that has her lips curl, and then her phone beeps and she looks down to it. Ah- Well, she is there now. The mischief disappears. It would have probably been fun to stalk her stalking someone else, but now she gets to catch up,though her pace has started to slow a bit, as if hoping to get closer, to 'catch up', and then stalk her anyway. She does not communicate as much to Sae-byeok, if Sae-byeok has any other plans about now.

The Opera House, officially known as the Royal Opera House, is an iconic structure located in the heart of Londons Covent Garden district. The exterior of the building is a striking example of neoclassical architecture, characterized by its grand faade and elegant proportions. The original structure, built in 1732, has undergone several renovations and reconstructions, with significant work completed in the 19th and 20th centuriesThe most notable feature of the exterior is its imposing portico, which is supported by six majestic Corinthian columns. This portico serves as the grand entrance to the opera house and creates a sense of anticipation for visitors. Above the columns, a large pediment showcases intricately carved decorative elements that reflect the artistic nature of the institution. The faade is primarily constructed from Portland stone, lending it a timeless and refined appearance. The central section is flanked by two wings that house various facilities, including the box office and additional entrances. Large windows punctuate the walls, allowing natural light to flood the interior while contributing to the overall grandeur of the design. The building hovers over, dwarfing the blond, and she seemingly waits for Ritsuka and Sae-byeok, that fear that Sae-byeok noted the apparent cause... If of course this vampire is still human enough to denote fear.

's plans are convoluted in that they are easy, simple ideas made complex and difficult to understand. It's the rule of her life, one she bends only slightly.

Sae-byeok follows, but is naturally short and effectively nonathletic and as such is inevitably going to arrive on delay for the party.

Sae-byeok likes projecting her muddied concepts of emotions on other people. If only someone would do the same, oh bother.

Sae-byeok looks at her phone to discern how close to midnight it currently is,.

It is around ten PM

We should find a booth seat with our new terrified friend. Sae-byeok texts Ritsuka

Ritsuka has to laugh and smiles to the blonde, and there is a knowing familiarity in her eyes for her, though she, of course, won't recognize her. The shifted form has entirely different eyes, while here, they are augmented and look like liquid gold over the the natural gray of her irises. "Ohayo Lady. Looks like you had a very fun encounter with Novel. Why don't we sit down somewhere in a booth and take a watch? Can tell us why you're prowling around then, too. Why the interest in business man? And then we can talk about your control techniques?"

Sae-byeok looks down at herself, at Ritsuka, then down at herself, then back over her shoulder with a sigh.

Though still frozen, it is lacking the shaking of fear. Of course it took hold, Sae-byeok made sure the blond felt it, but human autonomic responces are not the same as those of the undead. She has likely noticed Sae-byeok and Ritsuka's following. She is a vampire, and vampires generally have good senses. Though from what Ritsuka knows, she must not have been a vampire for very long-- Weeks at best. Some time after William, Lenore and Ritsuka took her to Novel's apartment. Yet, she doesn't answer Ritsuka. There is no rejection of it either, and with the dignity of a noblewoman, the blond gestures for Ritsuka and Sae-byeok to join her as she begins to enter the atrium of the Royal Opera House.

Sae-byeok's brows knit, salt touching her expression as she folds her hands in her kangaroo pouch and puts on sunglasses for a night at the opera house.

Ah, it is that kind of game, and so, Ritsuka changes her posture a little bit. Stands more upright. Walks more upright as she does join her as one from a reputable family of the East would. Her arms do cross under her chest, though of course, unbeknowst to her company, it is where her weapon currently stays at. Just in reach. She was quick, so it was not a problem, and changing her posture is also simple, after all, there is divine blood flowing through her, and this blood cherishes it.

For those that pay close attention, they can notice that she refuses to look into the vampire's eyes, avoiding it entirely.

Sae-byeok's gait, once trudgey, is now draggy. Her feet skip with the energy of an anemic, and a bright, undecorated by the eyes under her sunglasses, smile darkens her expression.

Sae-byeok's jacket smells THICKLY like a certain demonborn Norman.

Entering the Royal Opera House, Sae-byeok and Ritsuka are enveloped in a sense of anticipation. The opulent foyer welcomes you with its high ceilings and grand chandeliers, casting a warm, inviting glow. The buzz of excitement is palpable as patrons don their finest attire, ready to experience world-class opera and ballet. Ritsuka and Sae-byeok spot the blond again as she claims tickets-- Three of them, so it is likely that she expected Sae-byeok and Ritsuka, or has the wealth to not worry about it. The atmosphere is charged as the blond, Ritsuka and Sae-byeok navigate through the opulent corridors, adorned with stunning artworks and historical artifacts that celebrate the rich legacy of the esteemed institution. As the performance time approaches, the air thickens with anticipation. The blond woman, Sae-byeok and Ritsuka find their seats in the plush auditorium, where the red velvet and gold accents create an ambiance of luxury and sophistication. The house lights dim, and a hush falls over the audience. The stage coming alive with the brilliance of talented performers, captivating Ritsuka and Sae-byeok's senses and transporting everyone here to different realms through the power of music and dance. Yet, no booth. The blond planned this out. She has made no aggressive mood yet though. As assumed, she only wishes to speak, and that talk is focused on the validation as to if Hilaina Strahd is or is not in London. Of note, the seats around Ritsuka, Sae-byeok and the blond are empty, suggesting this is a safe place to converse, though public enough that no danger could befall Ritsuka, the blond or Sae-byeok. A show of trust. And then, the stage is filled. The musitions begin their performance and the singers begin to enchant; A piece that is enchanting in only the way of supernaturals, though with no more sinister intention than to perform and be adored. "You wished to talk." the blond whispers to the other two women, though I do so love these times. The performances are grand, are they not?" As an opening gambit, innocent enough. Though the blond expands on that somewhat. "I was taken to Boston and deprogrammed, you know." she tells the two. "From there, I was delivered back, and my Mistress granted me her embrace. She came here, though by no means is she in this area tonight.""

watches the stage like a corpse. The sides of her eyes, from someone sitting next to her, are averted down in thought. "Cold hug." Sae-byeok notes.

Ritsuka does allow the whispering and sneaking, though she does keep weary. She was dealing wwith a vampire, after all. "I have not read your whole file, madam. Your mistress is Hilaina Stradh? If she is not in this area, then where is she? Fortunately, I was only asked to confirm whether she was in London or not. Everything else is less my business, though there is an interest in the potential abilities she may possess for control?"

"I hear your mistress is very powerful woman." Sae-byeok throws into the open quietly. "But, like.. Why hug her?"

"I enjoy the opera." the blond states again. "Is it not calming. Like life in many ways. You have the beginning, the middle and end." Far more lucid than she was when Ritsuka saw her before. "Though what is the beginning of this tail?" The question is asked in a whisper, the blond woman's attention drawn by the performance on stage. "Kiernan." the vampiress introduces, attention still wrapped, fingers linked as she enjoys the melody that spreads throughout the opera hall. She has been evidently fleshformed, too. She is a beautiful thing now, elegant and ballettic. "My Mistress is in the UK." So too is the confirmation in the affirmative. "The question of this narrative is, as this play one of descovery." the blond, Kiernan shares. She doesn't so much ignore Sae-byeok and Ritsuka as she answers in her own time. "My Mistress did not desire me once she had left the US. She wanted her son returned. She wanted me gone. Because Novel-- Her son was a success. Self control over her own undead body. Nine months awake to produce /that/ child." Relaxing into her seat, the vampire gestures to the stage, telling Sae-byeok and Ritsuka, "I dated Novel when we were teens; It's why Mistress claimed me. She wanted Novel back. He was a prised experiment, though she is obsessed with control. She demands it. She covets it. And hence her experiments now. She cant have Novel back, and so she is establishing herself to try her work closer to her old world family. And she's working on hypnosis-- Though being here, you know that. As for why I'm talking to you? It's for Novel. He fights control. I would like for Hilaina Strahd's experiments to stop. If she succeeds, there will be no stopping her. Mass hypnosis, alchemic domination and the creation of thralls on mass. The courts want it, but I am hoping that Novel-- And by extention, all of his friends can stop her."

A slender hand moves to the shoulder of her dress. Kiernan smiles delicately, meeting Ritsuka and Sae-byeok's gazes for long enough to show trust, then she slips the garment from her shoulder. The brand remains, though Ritsuka can note that it is slightly different. It's the same design, the same aesthetic, but the coloration of the red is just a tad off. It's the wrong shade of red, and with Sae-byeok's skill in arcana, she suspects after a moment that the brand, though visibly active at a passing glance, is not so for a prolonged investigation. Someone has taken this newly turned spawn and invested the time and effort to hide the fact her sire's brand is not active.

"Working with old world family." Sae-byeok posits on repeat, "Who. Okay, she work on hypnosis to control. How feasible is that?"

"Ehh.." Sae-byeok starts, reorganizing, "She is working on hypnosis to control HOW MUCH. How many. Will Temple and Hand disagree with her design?"

Shoulder still bared, the blond woman turns to address Sae-byeok's question, "Now, mass control is done one thrall at a time. Though my Mistress believes that given eight years, she may solve the mystery and advance the magitech." Then with that followup there's another smile-- The flash of fang. "There is a third party. Someone I'm working with-- A friend from Boston believes that she, through this buyer is is dealing with both the Temple and Hand; Mistress lacks all morality. She will sell what she finds to the highest bidder."

"Will she come to hurt Novel?" Sae-byeok asks, turning over.

Ritsuka quietly considers to the blonde and Sae-byeok. "I visited London once for the Order and had contact with the local branch. Could tip them off and let them know about it, and maybe the London branch is more... able than the one in Haven-city. I know my affiliates are interested in the tech, and somewhere, I am, too." She does give Sae-byeok a look on the question, and she asks a question of her own to Sae-byeok. "Novel is the father of the child in your belly, Kim-san?"

Sae-byeok says "So I tell people."
"She wants control." Kiernan tells Sae-byeok, her attention returned to the performance. A hand raises, "Novel Norman leads the group calling themselves the Anarchs. Hilaina is doing this to empower the eidolon Demiurge. So yes. I think this will harm Novel." Ritsuka's question is rewarded with a gentle laugh. Sharp and yet light, like a dagger through flesh. "The Order are always useless. Though a word might help. I'd hope at least. Though for now, I cant lead you to Mistress. I can only confirm that she is in England. She is well protected. I'm not able to tell you where she is now though. Perhapse in a few weeks. But yes, I can offer this." Slipping the shoulder of her dress back up to cover her back, Kiernan reaches into her clutch. When her hand returns, she holds two pen drives, the USB sticks containing data-- Hilaina Strahd's experiments are magitech, not brainwashing. That will likely upset the Hanshin, though they may be able to do something with it anyway. Hilaina is working to empower the eidolon Demiurge, who is said to be an ancient force of abject control. The USB suggests through various reports and documents that she doesn't want the Demiurge's freedom, but to control it, and its power of dominus. Once the first experiment is ready, Hilaina will release her first test subjects against Hilaina's escaped experiments over the years.

Sae-byeok unloops the face mask from behind each ear and rests her hands in her lap, staring at them, she states. "You can have them Ritsuka. I only need to see them one and I make copies."

Sae-byeok needs to see them once*.

"Okay Kiernan. I am Kim Sae-byeok." Sae-byeok declares in a quiet, nodding confidence- as one usually is with their own name, "Maybe you have name wrong because it change recently."

"I will tell you things in Telepathy sometimes if they are important and helpful. I am not qualified to say how do interrupt her tests. I will tell people that are and we will understand."

Ritsuka makes a small smile as she looks over the USB drive "That will then suffice for now. I could grab a few of my own if it was a violent kind of thing. They are a lot less likely to leave anyone alive." This, she of course says very very quietly. "Anything else you feel we should know? What is the play about?"

with the information gathered, plans can be made to actually take the next leg of the adventure. Sae-byeok and Ritsuka get to enjoy the performance; a classical reproduction of Hansel and Gretel, which has been a winter staple since 1905. At the end of the evening, Sae-byeok and Ritsuka path home, though as to if Kiernan managed to find the gentleman: A third party buyer that she apparently wished dead or not is still in question. So too are the questions of the creatures dwelling in the nightmare and the active spirits, though England is an ancient realm of mystery. These things will be found later, withought doubt.

Sae-byeok hurries to the bathroom to hop in her own shadow
