Hypnotism

Levels: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4

Requirements: Rank 2 requires a Vampire or tier 2. Rank 3 requires Tier 3

Level One

Syntax: Trance (target)

  • Place the target into a trance, requires you to make eye contract. While in a trance the target is considered helpless, but most actions attempted will jerk them out of it and fail. Characters can use hypnotize on tranced targets however, and vampires may bite them to a mild level. Trances usually last up to five minutes.

Level Two

Syntax: Hypnotize (target) anmesia (thing to forget)

  • This command makes someone remember the event described as having happened in a dream instead of in reality. While they might eventually figure out this isn't true if confronted with others who experienced it it is the go to tool for supernaturals wanting to cover up paranormal events.

Syntax: Hypnotize (target) instruction (pressure one) (pressure two) (pressure three) (instruction)

  • This command attempts to send someone's mind an instruction to perform a single task, if it takes hold and they complete the task they can use satiate (instruction) to make the command fade.

Level Three

Syntax: Hypnotize (target) compulsion (pressure one) (pressure two) (pressure three) (instruction)

  • This command attempts to send someone's mind a compulsion that will stick with them until they next go to sleep. It will not fade until they have satiated it at least once however with satiate (instruction).

Syntax: Hypnotize (target) body instruction (pressure one) (pressure two) (pressure three) (instruction)

  • This command sends an instruction that bypasses someone's higher brain all together, instead being carried out by their body without them intending to do so at all. It is single use and will fade after the character carries it out and uses satiate (instruction).

Syntax: Hypnotize (target) body compulsion (pressure one) (pressure two) (pressure three) (instruction)

  • This command sends a compulsion that bypasses someone's higher brain all together, it works the same as the body instruction but lasts until the next time they sleep assuming they have satiated it at least once.

Syntax: Hypnotize [target] triggered instruction [pressure one] [pressure two] [pressure three] ([trigger]) [instruction]

  • This command sends someone a regular instruction, but it doesn't take hold until they hear, speak or read the trigger message. The trigger message is surrounded by rounded brackets () to separate it from the instruction itself.

Syntax: Hypnotize [target] triggered body instruction [pressure one] [pressure two] [pressure three] ([trigger]) [instruction]

  • Works as a triggered instruction, but sends a body instruction instead when triggered.

Level Four

Syntax: Hypnotize [target] triggered compulsion [pressure one] [pressure two] [pressure three] ([trigger]) [instruction]

  • Works as triggered instruction, but imparts a compulsion once triggered.

Syntax: Hypnotize [target] triggered body compulsion [pressure one] [pressure two] [pressure three] ([trigger]) [instruction]

  • Works as triggered compulsion, but imparts a body compulsion once triggered instead.

Syntax: Hypnotize (target) lock (pressure one) (pressure two) (pressure three) (instruction)

  • This command locks an already present compulsion, make it so it will never fade until it is unlocked. It cannot be used on someone protected by Sanctuary.

Syntax: Hypnotize (target) unlock (pressure one) (pressure two) (pressure three)

  • This command attempst to unlock a previously locked instruction in someone's mind, if the pressures are correctly selected the compulsion will fade. If not it will backlash and hurt the person attempting the unlocking.
