The echo just means the person you send it to rated it and the system processed it. You don’t get karma from this you get banked karma like from a reward, so you’ll get more karma next time you gain some.

Yes your character is supposed to be in the scene. You won’t be punished if you can’t find a way to do that or something but I don’t think it’s usually that hard to come up with an excuse for why your character is involved in some way or another most of the time.

It also just makes the game more interesting, if it’s a PC you never met now your PCs have a connection from that time you were busy breaking into an enemies house and ended up interrupting them being tempted by a demon or whatever it is, which is generally more interesting than encounters which kind of just vanish into the ether once they’re over.

As of several weeks ago now if you do faction info and do have your trusts restricted for some reason (like vampire human feeding/werewolf shifting) it will tell you why.

No, T3-1 is treated the same as a T2 in the code.

Think of it like back to the future. A tree wasn’t there a minute ago, but then someone goes back in time and plants the seed and then it has been there for years right? People who are supernaturally aware know that the city wasn’t there before, but for most people it’s always been there.

It’s not against the rules. I don’t expect it to be super common since it’s fairly obviously dumb/short sighted in almost all cases. If it became a big problem anyway I’d probably make some changes to deal with it.

    It’s help storyrunning policy

It’s expected that the story runner is always present in some capacity, but that could be something like being on the phone with the participants etc.

However long enough it takes to tell the story really.

The active lookfor encounter option is specifically for running encounters, they are offered to players semi-randomly like they were before but using lookfor will increase the chance you get selected.
